If you are looking for a historical, calm, beautiful place to stay in a budget, this is your choice. This is not another generic hotel nor old hostel. The house full of history and definitely has a soul. Nice rooms. Just a couple of minutes of walking to the ocean and the main street. The great friendly host cooks tasty food, but you can also cook for yourself using the outdoor kitchen. Highly recommend!

Very affordable, cute, cosy and neat accomodation! Property has a lot of greenery and outside kitchen, so you can prepare yout own meals and save some money:) 5min walking to beach and same amount, or even less, to the main street where all the shops and restaurants are located. Right on the corner you can find a local bakery where you can purchase fresh and delicious produce!

This is a great place for the couple of nights when you stay in Hikkaduwa, it's a great price for what you get... a decent nights sleep, a clean environment with a great social room, the owners are friendly they are a family with a young son, felt really safe as a female. Location is good it's a walk 3 minute walk to the main strip. So much cheaper than a dorm and you get your own space.

I feel like I got the best of both worlds here. When I was at the villa, I had a nice quiet setting that is remenicient of being at a real country home. There are coconut trees all over the garden, banana trees and it's so special. Then when I feel like surfing I walk 10 minutes and I'm at the main surf point in Narigama beach. I've walked to and from the main nightlife bars as they're about 15 mind walk away. It's nice being able to walk away from that at the end of the night. The family that run the place are really great people and it makes all the difference, I really felt at home here and I will definitely be back.

I just can highly recommend this lovely place, running by Eduard and Olga, if you want to stay in Hikkaduwa! It's a very cozy villa with a huge garden, where you can chill in the hammock or on the terrace, and just listen to the birds or the wind blowing through the palm leafs. You can prepare your own breakfast and you can use the refrigerator. The villa is close to the town center and beach, you can reach the train station by tuk tuk, it's not far away. It's a perfect place to relax and explore the beauty of the beaches and places around Hikkaduwa.
