Situated in Baddegama, just 10 minutes from Hikkaduwa beach, in a beautiful area surrounded by wildlife and greenary. This gives you the advantage of being away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area, but also only a short three-wheeler journey into these areas if you wish to go. I have a large, beautiful tranquil garden surrounding the villa with paradise birds and kingfishers nesting in the trees. 3 double rooms available, each with ceiling fans and full en suite bathroom with hot water. Animal lovers only please, I have 4 rescue dogs, friendly and great with children. They provide great security for the premises. $60 per room. Airport transfers and tours are available on request. Bed and breakfast is included but other meals can be provided on request. The main host, Sujatha, speaks fluently in English and is a wonderful and caring woman, passionate about the happiness and care of her customers :)

Wow just Wow. The photos do not do this place justice. An amazing place to stay. Clean and very comfortable. The Garden is huge. The food that was cooked was amazing. The owner even went out of her way to accommodate my fussy eater, teenage son. Trips to the beach was arranged by Sujatha which meant local prices were paid to trustworthy tuk tuk drivers. All in all a very good place to stay, and if I ever go back to Sri Lanka. I would definitely stay there again.

Really enjoyed my second stay at Sujathas. I prefer to stay in a homely, more authentic environment rather than at a big hotel. The food was as excellent as I'd remembered it being, with lots of local specialities (a lot of which included home grown veg from the garden). Since my last visit a new road to the beach has been built making the tuktuk journey to the beach very quick & easy. Would recommend.

Beautiful building and located just a quick 10 minute drive from the beach. Which means you're away from the busy main road on the beach. Hospitality was nothing short of excellent with Sujatha providing great authentic cooking and general service. Her garden is large, beautiful and the sounds of the wildlife make for a stunning setting with a book and a cup of tea! Stayed here on two separate occasions now and will return again for certain in the future! This is now my go to place to stay when ever I'm in the country. All in all 5 star service!

We stayed at the Sujatha's Plantation Villa for approx. two weeks. Such an beautiful place for one to relax with nature. This place is surrounded with tall trees and lush greenery. Our accommodation was extremely good with an en-suit bathroom. Sujatha cooked our breakfast and evening meal everyday with fresh supply of sea food, seasional vegetables and fruit, such a delight to consume. Nearby town is Hikkaduwa. there is a lively town centre, a lovely beach and a lot of colonial places to see in the area. All together we had a lovely time. Seeing is believing.
