Firstly, just releived to come out of the hotel. This would give u all an idea of my experience. Its a substandard place, just like a budget OYO. Reception guys are clueless about anything you ask. The room keys itself are so rusted.. you may think twice before touching them. The room doors are creaking. Cobwebs dangling everywhere from the room. Though the rooms look clean from outside.. looks are indeed deceptive. The worst part.. I had company in the room.. from Rodents and mosquitoes. Linen on the bed had stains on them. Horrible and almost made me puke. The windows had transparent curtains without any blinds.. allowing all the sunlight to enter your room.. making sure that you can't sleep in the daytime how much ever you like to. The food was worst to pathetic the least I can say. The reception would pick the phone as per their convenience. Whatever request maybe .. they never care to entertain. The menu in the rooms was a joke.. same has been attached with the review. The bathroom had a geyser with 24 hrs water supply. Though no amenities kept except for a 1 inch big soap. The only positive was the scenic view the hotel had to offer. Balcony was all rusty.. Please stay at you risk in such a place.

We arrived here and there was no electricity which was not ideal after being in a car for the last few hours. It eventually came back so we headed to the pool, this was very untidy. It was not cleaned and the towels provided didnt look too clean either. The rooms were clean and the shower was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The breakfast here was also one of the best that we had in Sri Lanka so kudos to that. The staff were friendly and accommodation so I could not fault them but it does need some addressing in regards to maintenance and upkeep.

We had originally planned for a 3 night stay at this hotel. All that changed as soon as we entered the room: 1. Room: Room size is decent but every thing else is wrong. The furniture and fittings were all old and rusted. The wood was discolored. The paint was peeling off. this was just what we saw as we entered. The washroom hadn't been cleaned. The other offputing thing is that the towels in the room were all brown. There were red ants on one of the beds. what's even worse, the kettle was uncleaned (previous user had boiled milk in it). Clearly no one thought of cleaning the room thoroughly. We were disgusted by the room. We had another family traveling and their room was even worse. There was a backflow from the WC in that room and They were not even given a working kettle (all the kettles were used up). As it was quite late in the day, we decided to stay the night but move to another hotel in the morning. Food: The breakfast spread was good. decent options for non-vegetarians. For veg, you only had bread and fruits. Location: Its right on the Hikkaduwa beach, the location is nice. The beach is quite rocky near this hotel. But you could walk a little to get to a good stretch of the sands. Overall: The most disgusting hotel I have been to. On the positive side, the manager kindly refunded one night's rent while forfeiting one. This would have easily destroyed our vacation so we chose to forfeit the money and booked an expensive room at another hotel. that was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

From the outside the hotel looks quite shabby but when we went inside on first glance it looked nice. However we realised it was quite dirty and the corridors, bar and main reception area have a stale mouldy smell. The bedsheets were dirty and ripped, when we told the young man at reception he was very rude and did not care. We asked for the manager but he said there wasn’t a manager in, luckily the restaurant manager was there and helped us. He organsied for fresh sheets to be put on the beds and gave us a fruit juice to apologize. However this didn’t make up for the rest of the staff being quite rude and the state of the room. Ants all over the bathroom and dust in most places. Breakfast was also of a low standard and all the hot food was uncovered, allowing flies etc to get in.

We booked this hotel 2 months back for the university day outing . We made the booking early to make sure that we can spend the day freely without having any other crowds and disturbances . We were informed that no other bookings have been made for the day. Checked into the hotel , and it was fully crowded. The pool was filled with people but we managed to do some other activities planned without using the pool. The lunch buffet was terrible. Some of us had to wait 2 hours in the queue to have lunch. This was utterly dissapointing. Most of the food weren't not there at the time we were eating . There were small fights among other customers and the management which disturbed us a lot. We couldn't use the pool properly coz people were so drunk and were messing in the pool. The tea which was promised to be given at 3 pm was served at 4.15 again ruining our entire schedule. All in all this place literally ruined our annual day outing which was organised with so much effort. So very disappointed ! Never recommending this place to anyone !

We came for the day out package on the 24th of August 2019. The hotel was really crowded on that day, and the issue was that the hotel was not prepared for it. We came with a crowd of 60 people. After a really long cue by the time I went to use the buffet the salads and fish were over. Some of my friends heard a chef telling a customer " Eat whatever is left there. " After that a huge argument erupted. Some people of my group didn't get the full benefit of the buffet as it was almost finished when their turn to use the buffet came. The good thing I found about the hotel was the pool. The lifeguards there were really helpful. Even though the rooms had an AC, the remote control was not there and the tv didn't work at all. All in all the hotel needs to learn customer care a lot! And prepare for crowds beforehand without waiting until a storm hits the dinning room.

Spoke to number of staff,no help just smiled. Be careful with pictures ,rooms reed some urgent tlc, basic furnishings . seems they have shut parts and services off due to no tourists. We spend 10 nights in this hotel. Attentive staff. The room was cleaned every day. There is a kettle, a refrigerator, a TV etc in the room. The water, coffee, tea were updated daily. Food is not varied but tasty. Hotel located in a good location. There is a supermarket and a good seafood restaurant nearby. Also you can rent a bike across the road. Not far from the hotel you can feed huge turtles ))). Good hotel for 3 stars.
