I stayed here with six others in August. The hostel is cheap and cheerful. The room was simple and clean. There was an en suite toilet with a shower that only had cold water. The hotel is near the beach and restaurants, within walking distance. We came back at 11.30pm and the doors were locked - no staff were around...

The guesthouse is next to the train/bus station and it's pretty cheap. The room is big but could be cleaner! Only cold shower and wifi was really poor. We had a big issue with cockroach in our room and the owner didn't really care. Could do more out of this place.

This was our first stop in Sri Lanka. The location isn't ideal- a little bit far from all of the action. That's not a problem if a)you like a long walk, b) you have a moped or c) you don't mind paying 200 for a tuk tuk to get to the action. The family running the hotel are so friendly...

No Amenities, poor rooms, no cleaning, you have to pay for the towels. Owner always screaming and not nice; he seems to be nice upon booking and then shows another face. Bad breakfast. The kitchen is so unclean.

For the money that you pay here the rooms are really good. Breakfast in the morning is also really good value. Close to the beach and the staff are really friendly and help to sort things out if you got questions about the bus and train. I will highly recommend this place to everyone.

We stayed here for only one night. We had too search for someone to even check in. Once we found an employee, she asked us to pay upfront (which we had never been asked before while travelling). The rooms were not clean and had heaps of mosquitos in the room and inside the mosquito nets. Once travelling around Hikkaduwa, we...

It's a nice place with friendly staff. Breakfast is average but they will do there best to accommodate you. Not too far from the beach; you can take a tuk tuk for 100 rps or walk down the strip. Train station is also very close. No hot water in the room.

We stayed in Happy Tuna in the middle of november 2015. As usually we didn't reserve the room over the net but were still able to get a room for 4 nights. The room was a bit small, but clean, with a mosquito net, and attached bathroom ( hot water). There is a kitchen in the building next to the main house...

We spent couple of nights in this so called hotel in January 2015. The hotel is not something fancy but it is ok. The services were acceptable but what really pissed us off was the fact that someone from the hotel stuff took from our locked room 200 dolars. Unfortunately we found out while we were already off to Hikka....
