Modern, luxury living space in the sacred city of Anuradhapaura. Beautiful view, calm & quiet surroundings. A newly constructed modern medium sized hotel in a quiet and safe location facing Mihintale Road, Anuradhapura, and centrally located, accessible to all main roads, very unique location with easy access to everywhere. The location is such that Rajarata Lodge is both convenient and ideal for guests as train and bus station is both located in close proximity. Its location also gives guests easy access to supermarkets and other convenient stores in the town, however the main benefit is the close proximity to the sacred city.

You get what you pay for. The hotel itself was in a good enough place where you could not hear any traffic or disturbances. It was also very quiet in terms of people, there was not much noise anywhere. The room was fairly basic, yet it did the job and was clean. The shower seemed to only have cold Luke warm water which was not a problem for myself but could be for others. The breakfast was good and everything I needed was catered for. I'd suggest it was worth the money that it asked for

I stayed in this property for 1 night on a business trip. It’s good for the price you pay. Room is very comfortable and the toilet is clean. No great views but close proximity to the city. Service is good. The only draw back was the breakfast, for the English b fast they don’t serve Sausage or bacon only an omelette. Overall value for money.

We have stayed 2 nights here to visit Anuradhapaura. The staff is friendly and helpful. But after check-in, it seems unable to access any staff for help. Our deluxe double room is basic and clean. The air-con works well. Beds are clean, big and comfortable, but there is no blanket, so that we need to use our towels as blanket. The environment is quiet. We had a good sleep. The bathroom is basic too, hot water is enough, fixed shower head and hand shower are both available, water pressure is little bit weak, but acceptable. Bottle water is provided. Hair dryer are available. Breakfast is served at the outside restaurant facing the rice field, it was served very slow, that we have waited almost 30 mins. The breakfast is very simple and taste just ok. The hallway outside our room got so many insects, both life and dead. This is a guesthouse with potential, but it seems that the owner do not have any eager to run it better.

Maybe we just had bad luck, but it didn't feel good. The person at the desk was like „oops, I have guests?!", more didicated to his smartphone and his friends, who lingered in the small entrance room. No good room - which was located near the front desk, the bathroom was stinky, dinner yes - it was available, but we had the impression as it was brought in from outside, All in all : could be better run with more dedication to guests

We were suppose to stay here for 3 nights but we left after 2 night because we finished all we wanted to see ! They did not give us refund for the night cancelled ! Not even the taxes that we paid for the room that we did not stay !! Even though the place was busy ! This place was close to most of the site seeing places ! But the hotel is old and needs lot of work ! I had to rewrite the review because the restaurant review was different than the Lodge review ! Their restaurant was good ! We had room on the ground floor which smelled musty and dusty ! bathroom was not very clean ! There were mosquito's in the room ! We requested them to put some mosquito deterrent spray and they plugged in something ! We had a king size bed with thin pillows and did not have blankets ! After requesting they brought 2 twin blankets ! Net connection was there on and off ! Laundry service was good ! Front desk staff are very friendly ! Saw a big roach in the hallway near the stairway while we were going for breakfast ! A bell boy ran to catch it but it got away !! If they fix this hotel it would be a good place to stay !
