One of my favourite places I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka! The owner sent me instructions to get to the hotel as soon as I made the reservation. He arranged all my trips whilst I was there and took me to local restaurants each night so I could experience local food. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! I felt so looked after I would come back here again and again.
The accommodation is run by a lovely family who are super-friendly and can’t do enough for you. It’s located in a quiet lane only a couple of minutes walk from the main street of Anuradhapura new town and they will pick you up and drop you off at the train or bus station for free. The place looks to be quite new and everything is in really good condition and spotlessly clean. We had a good sized double room which was bright and airy and a large modern bathroom (best shower so far in 2 weeks travelling Sri Lanka). The double bed was huge, probably the largest I’ve ever seen, and very comfortable. Air conditioning was very effective (and quiet) and the WiFi was strong and reliable. The area and accommodation was peacefully quiet all night. Breakfast is taken upstairs on a second floor balcony and comprises fresh fruit followed by something traditional Sri Lankan such as banana roti. The upstairs balcony is also a great place to sit in the evenings when they’re happy to serve you a cold beer. Bicycles are available for hire at 500 rupees per day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, good quality accommodation, lovely hosts and great location.…
Lovely family who couldn’t do enough for you, cosy room, clean and good location to the Main Street. Highly recommend. Also provides a very safe and cost effective tuk tuk service. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for 1 night and were very impressed overall. This is a small family run guest house, located 1 block back from the main street. The room was clean and modern, with a large comfortable bed and air conditioning. The family couple who run the place were friendly and helpful, the owner has his own tuk tuk and was happy to help with transport. The only negative was that the hot water heater was not yet installed in our room and we had to use the shower in another room. The staff assure me this is getting resolved. For 3100Rs a night, it was excellent value.
The rooms are super clem and the hosts very friendly! The street is in the middle of the town but very silent. It's not expensive so definitely worth it and you can also take the bikes and explore the city Perfect! :)
