I booked as it said 'all rooms have a lake view and private balcony' they don't. Mine was downstairs and dingy, cockroaches in room which tell me the room wasn't cleaned recently. Also holes in the gross mosquito net. Saw the lake view rooms though and they were lovely! - would recommend staying in them if you have the money... More

Great location, over looking the lake and close to sacred sites, friendly staff, good breakfast. Rooms could have been cleaner as could the bathroom. Mosquito nets were disgusting, old and filthy dirty so much so that we decided to take our chances with the mosquitoes. But a quirky place and over all good stay.

a place that used to be good, but now run down due to negligence. Rooms not painted, doors not repaired, bathrooms not maintained well. Sad to see such a nice place ruined in a few years. Only advantage is its close to the historical ancient city.

The guest house is composed by three types of bedrooms 1. Family Rooms 2. Double bedrooms 3. Twin bed rooms The guest house is located in a quiet, green area right away from opposite side of the old puttalam road next to Tissa weva and is therefore an ideal choice for families searching for relax.Additionally this and best location for... Positive: helpful staff, some good dinners, good location near bodhi tree yet somewhat isolated from town. Negative: it's basically a dump; rooms not clean, poor maintenance, overpriced upper floor rooms. pool & fitness center n/a

Anuradhapura does not have many(any) quality hotels. I do not think hotel staff are properly trained or have any clue how to run this place professionally. We were told check out time is 8.30AM. May be the cashier pocketed the money. We did not receive a receipt. Each bed has one tiny pillow and they do not have extra pillows.... More

When we arrived the manager and owner weren´t there, and had left two guys that hardly spoke some words english. Although communication was a little bit difficult, they were extremely friendly and tried the best they could to deliver a good service. We felt very welcome. Bo Vista is perfect located if you want to visit the ancient city, but... More

The beauty of the city and location of anuradhapura amazed me. It was my first time in a city like this. When we arrived at the hotel we booked a nice gentleman came in and greeted us. The reception staff was excellent. Fast check in and good ushering made us feel homely. Food in this hotel is great. The restaurant... More

The first thing we thought upon entering was that it felt like The Overlook Hotel from The Shining (without any of the 70s kitsch charm). It took quite a few minutes investigating to locate any of the staff. The room was pretty dirty and the drains in the bathroom smelt very bad. Last but not least, I'm fairly certain that... More

My partner and I were beneficiaries of a careless mistake by the hotel staff. They put us in the deluxe AC rooms on the first floor with a view of the lake. Our booking was, however, for the basic rooms in the dungeon-like basement. Eventually, we paid the regular rates, but got twice the value for our money. The hotel... More
