    Short stay while visiting relatives
My wife, me and my mother stayed at the Hotel Srbija this summer while visiting our relatives. Hotel Srbija is located in the centre of the city Vrsac. There are several shops, restaurants and bars in or near the hotel. Srbija has a free outside parking next to it. The receptionist advised us however to leave the car in their underground small parking garage for free, where they could lock it in behind gates, during the night. The hotel has been recently refurbished to accomodate guests during the european basket-ball championships. We choose the "delux" rooms featuring AC, TV, minibar and phone on the fourth floor. The view was slightly less than spectacular from there, and not in a negative sense mind. I believe we were the only ones living on the 4th floor, the other ppl seemed to live on the lower cheaper rooms. The deluxe doubleroom was about €50 a night for two persons. My mother's single room was about €40. Breakfast was included in this. Our breakfast waiter seemed not be used to have guests in the morning, as he acted a little woozy and not quite in synch with this planet. We had our dinners at the local brewery restaurant ("pivnica"), which seemed to be low on good waiters. The first dinner we had a good and very engaged waiter anxious to be of help and make sure we had an enjoyable dinner. The dinner next day we hardly saw the waiter, or rather most of his back really. Note that this other one wasn't the same as the first one. Weird... The beds were fine, and so was the bathroom with a shower-cabin, toilet and sink. Although there was a funny smell from the drains after each shower. Could have been the heat though, or the fact that they were still renovating the upper floors or something. The room was quite calm. No fuss or so. There was a short but irritating power-out one morning, making it necessary to go to the 4th floor by stairs, which in the heat was quite a feat... The lift seemed to work during the power-out, but I wasn't taking any chances, as it was a bit creaky and didn't quite stay level with the floor at all times... The receptionist was quite helpful and very nice. Overall the hotel and rooms were regular european standard, although with a slight minus at the end. We were satisfied.

    Good value for money
Excellent hotel, located in the centre of Vrsac. Good value for money, room had air conditioning and was of good size, with a comfy bed, well decorated and very clean. Wifi worked well in the room, and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good but with limited vegetarian options.

worth a visit - Hotel Serbia Vrsac
A friend and myself were travelling on business in this area and a week earlier we stopped in this wonderful country city for a 3 day wine festival, held each year in September. Every man, woman and child stepped out for this festival and we had a wonderful time with very friendly and helpful Serbs, sensational food and plenty of beer and wine at almost no cost!! We came back a week later and stayed in the Hotel Serbia overnight before heading back to Belgrade. The room , unfortunately, stunk of cigarette smoke - as do most hotels in Serbia. There are no non-smoking rooms, and for someone who doesn't smoke it is really unpleasant. Our room was a bit old - the toilet moved on the floor as did the handbasin, the bar fridge was empty, but the beds were comfortable enough. The cost was very inexpensive - I think about $A25 including a good buffet breakfast with no limits for the room. Parking was free outside the entrance and the hotel is right in the heart of this bustling town. If you do visit make sure you go to the Vrsac Brewery - downstairs ( it is about 500 m from the hotel) and have a meal + beautifully brewed unfiltered beer in a 400 year old stunning cellar. We had a feast plus several beers all for less than $A 20 for two!! Couldn't believe it. Serbia is just learning about tourism and they need our help and encouragement - it is such a wonderful country. Have fun if you visit.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the food was a bit monotonous, but other than that, a very good stay. Everything was very clean and in good shape. The hotel is in the city centre and we had a nice view from the window.

I usually do not right bad feedback and try to find the best in every occasion! Well in the case of this hotel the only positive thing is that it have a roof and no snow came on our heads! This place can not described as a hotel, we went there and did not have hot water to make a shower or even wash our faces, we wanted water to drink and did not have available even to buy!the receptionist told my brother to drink from the sink, when he open the sink dirt came out!disgusting! Receptionist told me that I could try and visit a shop at 4am which was near at 500 m and it might be open to buy water( to walk in heavy snow in 0 degrees)Heater was not working either wifi! We asked them to provide as written down that they do not have these basic needs for a human and they refused! The worst breakfast in history of breakfasts! Worst experience in a hotel by far! Stay away if you care about your health and hygiene!

Dear Sir, We feel sorry for your bad experience, but obviously it has happened in some other hotel, not in our "Srbija" hotel, in the city of Vršac. I would kindly ask you to remove your review from our page, and contact the hotel you actually visited. Feel free to contact me on email office@hotelsrbija.rs if you wish to discuss this situation furthermore. Best regards, Aleksandar Kampfer, general manager

Location of this hotel is in centre of Vršac, which is the only bright spot of the hotel. When you come to hotel you don't know where to leave the vehicle, because there is no check-in drive-in place, you have only a few parking spaces available which are poorly marked and which are usually occupied by taxis. The hotel is generally poorly maintained which is visible at every step (curtain curtains, lamps which don't light, damaged walls and equipment,...) Room which I have is small, air conditioning that you need constantly because it's very hot in room (summer) is above the bed and it blows directly on you. So in my room I also found some problems with poor maintenance: uneven recessed floor, inoperative air conditioning first two days, the night light didn’t work, damaged wall, damaged electrical socket, unclean window (whole week), damaged/worn bed sheets,… In restaurant we have only breakfast, which is very basic, the problem is also that you can find breadcrumbs from previous guests on the table, damaged plates and cups that could be eliminated,…

I spent a night and had dinner, breakfast and lunch in this hotel. It is very well placed in the centre of Vršac. Everything is close-by. The room was fine, renovated, as well as bathroom. Food was ok, however service a bit on a slow side. Nevertheless, staff is kind and one could agree about certain details without problems.

Went to Versec to do family genealogy for my wife. Very nice hotel, staff was very helpful both with questions and helping us find information on our search. Hotel and rooms were very clean and very well kept, and the breakfast buffet was very good. I can highly recommend the hotel and staff.

We had a lovely greeting from reception. They gave us a suite as requested but with 2 singles instead of a double. They were very apologetic and happy to change. They gave us room way up on the 7th floor and it had a fabulous view of the city. To our surprise we had a knock on our door from a waiter with 2 big bowls of fruit and ice cream. The reason was for the room mix up which was no big deal but the ice cream was gladly accepted. Thanks to all the staff for such a memorable stay.

Consider I compare the hotel with other European and north american hotels, Well the hotel has all minimum required, the service and breakfast is OK. The TV was small, and I couldn't get an iron in the room, however they offered to have it as service in the morning but they were not sure when I get my shirt back. The lobby people where very helpful and did their best to help me with booking. WiFi was good for work inside the room. Rooms don't have a safe.
