Palmon Bay Hotel & Spa is often commended for its immaculate cleanliness and well-appointed rooms, with superior upgrades offering generous space and views. The location is appreciated for its beachfront proximity and ease of access to local attractions, despite some noise issues. While the spa and pool areas receive accolades, the hotel's atmosphere is marred by a lackluster dining environment and external music disturbances. Service quality varies significantly, ranging from commendable to disappointing. Travelers are divided on value, citing room disparities and the high cost of refreshments.

The Palmon Bay provided a mixture of experiences, with the highs being high and the lows being just ok.

Each staff member we encountered were polite, professional and warmly welcoming with a good sense of humour. Even amongst Covid19, we were greeted with a smile.

The continental breakfast was great, with a mixture of coffees, orange juice, pastries and omelettes cooked to order!

The shining star of the Palmon Bay is their exquisite spa experience. Reasonably priced, with a discount for hotel guests, you will find yourself overwhelmed with the serenity their 2 hot spas and 1 cold pool options provide and will find yourself peacefully unwinding in a choice of 3 steam rooms. The hot and cold bar provides you with a list of smoothies and tea choices for you to sip on while you enjoy the pool or their relaxation room equipped with lay down plush lounge couches.

My husband and I visited at the tail end of the tourism season on our honeymoon. Montenegro at the time had been experiencing unprecedented weather and was also battling Covid19 which was causing Palmon Bay to shut down for the season, the week after our stay. I acknowledge that the above may have been key factors in our "low point" experiences.

The lounge chairs in all areas were tightly packed away in corners leaving no place to sit by the outdoor pool. The staff themselves were sitting down making us feel like we were intruding in a space were were not to be, through we had full access.
The restaurant served great food but only one of the bars was open and their flagship restaurant with the glamorous view of the bay that was advertised throughout the hotel, was not open on the 5th floor and all their furniture was once again packed tightly away.

The room we booked had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the bay however the room itself was incredibly small contradicting the photos we saw online while booking.

Overall I understand that these issues are minor in comparison to the privilege we had to travel to a place as beautiful as the Palmon Bay during such unique times as Covid19 and it is truly saddening to see them close for the season. It was simply a little surprising because we did not feel we experienced all that Palmon Bay had to offer. It felt like they were in a state of transition and we were receiving the "leftovers" of a season. However, I do not believe this should deter you from trying the Palmon Bay. If not for the beautiful scenery and spa, but for the opportunity it provides you to get away with a loved one and relax.

My wife and I have just returned from 7 nights at the Palmon Bay. Overall the hotel was very good. our sea view room was large, very clean and comfortable although be aware that any sea view rooms below floor three have the view obstructed by properties adjoining the road between the hotel and its beach club. we were originally given a room on the second but an immediate complaint regarding the obstructed view resulted in us being moved up a floor.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the buffet breakfasts were excellent.
The hotel was full but the restaurant area was bright and spotless. The staff were friendly.
The beach club area though was not as good as it could be, it has all the right facilities but is not well run. On entering you give your room number and get a beach towel each in return to use on loungers, however frequently there were none available and no loungers either simply because people would "reserve" them by putting towels on them and then not use them for hours or at all. A simple rule to the effect that if sunbeds are not used for say 45mins the towels are removed would greatly improve the situation. The beach club staff can see that many are not used but do nothing. The loungers themselves are uncomfortable, a bit of padding would not go amiss.
In all a good hotel but a few small improvements could have made it excellent

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days with two of my friends, we had a great time. The location of Palmon is absolutely stunning, not only does the pool offer wonderful views of the hills and the bay but there is a private beach area, too. Staff were attentive and friendly. We had a deluxe room which was nice and clean with a wonderful shower and a balcony. Only quibble is that our booking said we would have a sofa bed and the third bed was actually a small single trundle that wasn’t particularly comfortable for an adult. The main bed was huge and very comfortable. Air con was brilliant. There was also no kettle which we found odd. Would have loved to have had a morning coffee sat on the balcony.

We were half board so had breakfast and dinner included. There was a decent amount of choice (we loved the potatoes!) some odd breakfast options like boiled veg but perhaps this is just a cultural difference? Meat was also very hit and miss. Bacon and sausages in the mornings both had lots of hard fatty lumps in.

As for the local area, there’s a brilliant restaurant a couple of doors down with an outside seating area overlooking the beach. A short walk brings you to a lively area with bars, shops, and restaurants. There are also a couple of vendors offering boat trips, I believe the hotel also offers these although we used an outside company.

Palmon’s pool area and beach were spotlessly maintained and so beautiful, we really enjoyed just relaxing poolside for most of the week. The spa is great also, with a salt pool, sauna, salt room, and more. We went without our kids for an escape but all said we would return with them.

Thanks for a great time!

I was in this hotel at the end of May'21.
The hotel looks like a super economy level:
1. In the hotel area and neighborhood you will find nothing interesting. We were traveling around the whole country and this area is unremarkable compare to others
2. In our room were dirty sheets with marks from previous travelers;
3. The room is super tiny, only the most expensive rooms have a sea view;
4. We were on the honeymoon with my wife and there were zero compliments from the hotel;
5. Half of the spa was not working and the water in the pool was too cold;
6. Breakfast was looking really bad, I'd just skipped it.
7. AC in the whole hotel was not working! Because of that, it was almost impossible to sleep in the room. In addition, the location is on a very loud street (birds, cars, etc) and you can't sleep with an open window because of that.
I could close my eyes to everything and just spend time outside of the hotel but even sleeping was not possible there.
It was the first time I had to run from the hotel because of unacceptable conditions. The manager has offered nothing to solve it and I did a check out after the first night (it should be a week).
It was the word of the manager at the reception that I will receive the money in return without any problems but after few days they wrote a mail with information that they will not return the money...Now I feel robbed and disappointed
They offered me to stay on other dates, but I will not stay there even for free.

Great value for money hotel. Beds were comfy, balcony was a nice touch to the room. The spa had a nice variety of things to do all for free as well as addictions treatments with a cost. Private beach was a nice extension to the hotel which was across the street, very beautiful and clean - it’s a shame it gets closed at 5pm during the summer time.
The location wasn’t the best, surroundings seemed rundown however, it still felt responsibly safe. I would recommend this hotel for a reasonably priced, good value hotel.

What an absolutely beautiful hotel. We had a great experience here, I know some of the reviews are a bit off putting, but I put that down to personal choice. There is nothing negative I can really say about it. We had a side sea view room on the 6th floor and it was bloody marvellous. Breakfast is pretty good, generic, but nice tasty food, and yes there was sprouts some mornings, but you know not all visitors are from the UK and this might be the norm for them. Not for me either, but just walk on by and choose something else. The hotel is always cleaned to within an inch of its life. You never see a tab end or even a leaf on the floor, they obviously take a lot of pride in what they do. The staff here are really nice, they're polite and helpful, front of house tend to be the ones that speak English, the other staff not so much, but you know what? It's Montenegro, not England. We never had a problem with anyone, everyone said a good morning, or hello when we passed them. It was overall a fantastic week, in a brilliant hotel. There's lots of cafe bars and restaurants in the area, a couple of supermarkets and some really local public bars too. The only thing they don't have is a kettle in the room, I think that is a very British thing. I just took my own. Would stay again in a heartbeat, thank you.

Really disappointing to discover the hotel wasn’t fully open, which was not explained to us before travel and to find building work being carried out everywhere at the Hotel. No outdoor pools open, no Lemon Terrace or Olive Restaurant, just building works. We then experience Cisco trips being booked in which us not what you expect if a 4*+ hotel. The Spa was over run with children despite advertising it was adults only. A lot of money paid for a very bad experience. Staff not overly friendly and their rules differed, some allowed charging drinks to your room, others insisted on payment immediately. Breakfast was a rather disappointing Luke warm buffet that included carrots, cauliflower and green beans?!? We didn’t bother attempting the evening buffet in the one open restaurant as it was heaving with coach party clientele. No yea/coffee facilities in room and very strict rules on food/drink being brought into the hotel. The website does not represent the hotel we experienced.

It's OK, they're swapped out with cauliflower or broccoli It's OK, they're swapped it with cauliflower or broccoli on different days.
Fabulous hotel. Room was spacious, massive bed, large bathroom, very smart, clean, great balcony.
Wonderful pool area, plenty of comfortable sunbeds, good breeze.
Breakfast choice was brilliant, cereals; breads; meats; a massive cheese selection; usual hot stuff (not quite hot enough) plus some interesting additions; fruit; reasonable coffee and cake!
We had half board deal, really varied selection of meat mains and vegetables/rice/pasta plus salad stuff, fruit and cake. Good service.
We used the spa too and liked it.
Liked the location, several restaurants and bars close by, about 35 minutes walk into Herceg Novi old town, great walks along the sea front.
We came in mid-September, the sun was on the pool until 6pm, but once it was gone temperature rapidly cooled.
Staff really polite and helpful.

The hotel is honestly excellent. We stayed in a standard double room for 5 nights. The room was not the biggest, however, spacious enough for 2 people and was cleaned every morning by very friendly staff. The breakfast is delicious and has variety of things you can eat. There is a beach and an outdoor pool just few minutes away from the room which is kept very clean throughout the day. The pool bar have a selection of food you can get like chips, burgers and sandwiches and on top of that they have delicious ice cream. There are also spa facilities inside the hotel and a rooftop bar which had amazing views in the evening. The staff at the hotel are very polite and friendly and always make sure you are well looked after. There are also a lot of shops and restaurants around so there is no need to worry about what to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel.

OK so it started badly, arrived on the Saturday and checked in at 2pm, got to the room after travelling since the early hours to find a loud tanker outside the property making loads of noise and presumed it was emptying a septic tank. Well these tankers arrived on nearly an hourly basis, got to 9pm and still going on, went to reception to complain as the tanker appeared to be delivering water to the hotel spa across from our room. We were asked to return in the morning as guests were checking out to see if we could change room. The noise carried on until 10pm. The day after was Sunday and it started again at 6.45am. Went down to reception to complain again, offered us to view a room at 1pm as guests checking out, the room was perfect and we moved, can't fault the hotel with how they handled our concerns and fixed the problem for us.

Air con, in both rooms we stayed in was uncontrollable. Couldn't change the temperature and had a mind of its own. Spent nights kicking bed covers off because it was too warm. It came on and went off out of our control.

The TV in the room also has a mind of its own, switched off whilst watching films at night regularly. Never went back to channel we were watching.

The hotel itself is lovely, spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The beach club is exceptional, plenty of beds, no towel wars at all, very chilled , lots of space, food is very good. The pool is very large with small children's pool and direct access to the sea. We hadn't booked a Seaview or upgrade, but the rooms were small but perfect, very comfortable. Breakfast was everything you would need, not massive choices but covered everything you could possibly need. The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants,

Despite the noise complaint, temperamental Aircon and tv, we would still give the hotel 4 stars, problem was solved and we had a great time.
