I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, it has a great location, a lovely courtyard, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is professional and pleasant. The fact that the famous aviator Mermoz stayed there in 1920s adds to the hotel's appeal..it is an establishment with a long tradition. We liked the hotel bar too!

We didn't mean to stay, being on more of a hostel type holiday, but by the time the taxi arrived here, late at night, after a distressing (for me) drive from Dakar, I just wanted to stop at the first place I saw, which luckily for was was hotel de la poste. The best thing was the staff, who were...

This is a wonderful hotel situated at the foot of the Faibherbe Bridge. Although old, it has been well maintained and updated, and its age is part of its charm. The rooms are spacious enough and quite satisfactory. The staff is very friendly and courteous and willing to troubleshoot any inconvenience or problems that may arise. I really enjoyed the...

This Hotel has been around since the very early 1900's. It is famous for its connection with the French aviation pioneers and this is totally self evident as the hotel is stacked out with aviation memorabilia. Electricity has been added since it was built but not a lot else so expect this. It does have aircon in the rooms but...

We were surrised more than once by the preparations the chef proposed. Refined and beautifully presented. Try the fish - it is the specialty. We had the Bar fished right from the river in front of us. From the sea to the plate. And well prepared with sauces and the perfect rice from the valley of the senegal river. Drinks...

I stayed there recently for 3 nights while in the area. The rooms are darkish, small and furniture not inspiring. However, everything did Work: wi-fi, shower, tv, airco and telephone. Rooms were kept well clean too which is a challenge considering the amount of fine sand in the air around St. Louis. There is a lovely court yard garden. Breakfast...

I spent two nights here in November 2013 and was a bit disappointed. The garden "inside" was really nice and special but my room was really dark and with boring furniture. It didn't look at all as on the pictures on their website. Breakfast wasn't good either and I skipped it the second morning and went to a nearby coffeshop...

Staid here for one night on business. Good shower, clean room. Air conditioning worked fine, slightly on the noisy side. The inner court yard is quite idyllic and the breakfast room is charmingly decorated with old photos and pictures of postal planes. Breakfast itself was OK, nothing special. Service at reception was friendly and efficient. One minor glitch: our group...

After a few nights with limited amenities, it was nice to get pampered at this hotel. The room was European sized (meaning small by American standard), clean, comfortable and very nicely furnished. Hot water shower was a nice amenity (I wasn't expecting it)! The location is excellent. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Nice bar to sip wines in...
