I stayed for 3 nights in a spacious room with sea view, in a chalet style 2 storybuilding. Good bathroom but no water in the morning and evening when everybody showers, no hangers in the closet. Did not visit them but think the rooms in the beachfront cottages are more fancy. Meals are served in the main building in a pleasant large patio, missed the cereals in the morning. There was entertainment on most nights in the open air theatre. The hotel has a perfect location on the beach next to the Somone lagoon. Staff was very helpful at all times and had a very pleasant reception on arrival.

We are a couple were ina meeting at this waterfront resort and had a wonderful and productive time. The meeting facilities were excellent although the wifi was very good. I stayed in a cottage that was directly oceanfront and was inspired by the beauty of the place. I could hear the waves at night. A huge selection of food choices was offered for every buffet. Drinks were available throughout the day. This was a great place to get things done we spent the most lovely Time with a wonderfull Sunset and unforgetable Sunrises - no need to worry about food, and there were plenty of opportunities to relax and play, de been meeting with a fantastic and exceptional local tour guide, his name Andy, influently in English, italian and French, we did a several tours with him in Dakar lac rose, la Gorée Island, Bandia Reserve, deeert of lompoul, de spent a greet time, becase he simply showed us the real african and senegalese tradition, traditional foods and juice drinks we approciate him à Lot, you can reach him on plus two two one, Seven Six,Zero One Eight, One Seven, Eight Three, thanks Andy for this unique African expérience.

Just came back from a short visit to this hotel. We are staying in a different hotel but wanted to have dinner in the Royal Horizon Baobab. We are both vegetarians and therefore asked to have a quick look at the buffet before paying 20.000 CFA per person for their night pass. That has never been a problem in countless restaurants/hotels we have been before. But obviously it was here and they refused. We explained the reason and asked the guy from the reception to check with the manager. He did and the answer was that they are selling no night pass this evening. We were literally kicked out from this place. I’m traveling for more than 30 years and this was the first time something like that happened to me. Especially in Senegal, the home of Teranga, I would have never expected such a rude behavior. Please avoid this place - it’s a real shame.

The Most Royal Experience in Senegal over and over and over again! It’s not my first visit to Baobap ( yes that’s how we call it) & I am always back with more people along! We had a much needed long weekend with a group of hard working ladies & youngsters. The hotel made sure we had the most spacious and cleanest rooms. We were entertained by different activities every day, all day and night. The show was astonishing as ever; The food was delish; so many choices that you cannot stop refilling your plate but that’s OK because later ,you can take fitness classes with the BEST PT in town aka coach Pierre. The attention to detail when it comes to accommodating our requests is outstanding; the crew made sure they got us a birthday cake & sang to one of the girls with us! Royal Baobap never disappoints. We will always come back!

Royal Horizon Baobab Resort was an excellent place to stay. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. This country is French speaking, however as English is my primary language with very limited French, several staff members were able to speak and understand English which made my stay more pleasant. The rooms and amenities were quite adequate. The beds are on the small size in the single rooms (single bed). The grounds are well kept. I took walks outside the resort and felt quite comfortable and safe walking among the local residents in the area. A lot of small local stores selling crafts etc. and owners requesting you to come in to view their wares, some are a bit pushy but remains respectful if you decline visiting their shops. This is quite understandable as one wants to make a living and competition is strong. This can work to the benefit of visitors giving you bargaining power making bartering quite interesting. A must place to visit and stay. I am defiantly returning, hopefully in the near future.
