staff was untrained , kind of messy all around and the materials everywhere are cheap and used.
The people there were nice though and understood every complaint and tried to solve it to their best
I just think that the staff is underpaid and the owner also doesn't invest money in it anymore
The bathroom was clean, but that's pretty much it. Please avoid at all costs. It smells and the free parking does not have available spots. I guess the locals are using it too.
There is noise from the street and I had to have the window open because of the lack of a/c, but otherwise it was good for sleeping in.
The restaurant is pleasantly attired. The waitress could only speak Romanian or Spanish and didn't have a menu in English. The restaurant will not accept credit cards, but I managed to pay through the reception desk where the clerk spoke a little English. The food was reasonable, but people smoke in the restaurant.
The hotel was quite difficult to find by car. I had entered the coordinates into my navigation device. The route took me through the car park to a block of flats and then past what appeared to be an office building, but when I stopped the car and got out to look from the adjacent public square I could see it was in fact the hotel.
Given the limited choice of hotels in Focsani I would stay there again rather than have to drive from Bucharest each day. And it was only about £20 for the night.
minusuri: - dirty painting
- the tap sink was almost broken
- there is no shower gel to the bathroom
- there is no phone in the room, as it is written in their offer
- the door latch from the bathroom always blocked it
- I did not have a refrigerator in the room, as promised in the offer (only some rooms have a fridge). The receptionist invited me to use the refrigerator from her office
- not all rooms have air conditioning (no more than half of them have AC)
- you have the impression of a left ancient hotel, it is quite empty in general and has very few customers. It seems that the vast majority of the people chose the new, private hotels.
- the hotel's restaurant and bar is closed, only breakfast is served
No ac in room, no good breakfast no verry clean.
Only good point is that the hotel are in city center.
Is a 2 stars hotel, but can be better at this number of stars.
