The best thing about the hostel is the people who work there. Always good and predisposed to help you, especially Pablo, the best person in the world. The kitchen very useful, has several rooms to be, there is tea almost all the time. The breakfast is also very good. 100% recommended
Cosy and clean hotel, very nice atmosphere. The breakfast area was nicely decorated and the buffet-style breakfast had many choices of food. Friendly staff and good value for the money. Little side note: bed and pillow were a bit hard to sleep on..
This hotel is so pretty! I appreciated the decoration of the rooms and common areas. Breakfast is great (bread, eggs, pancakes, yogurt, fruits, freshly squeezed juice, tea, etc). Room is very spacious, bed is big and has plugs on both sides. The tours I booked with them to Chavin and to Pastoruri were really good. The staff does not speak english at all. Although the rooms are well taken care of, the bathrooms are very old and everything is kind of falling apart. It also hadnt been clean when I got there. There is no elevator and it is a 4 story building. I used their laundry service and when I got my clothes back there was a man's underwear among my stuff which obviously didnt belong to me. I booked several tours with them and prepaid, when I asked for a receipt they told me "they dont do receipts" but that I could trust them - which is really unprofessional and annoying. The tour I booked with them to Laguna Llanganuco was completely disorganized - I highly advise against it.…
We stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel at last minute notice and were made to feel so welcome and well looked after! The room was spacious and exceptionally clean and breakfast was the best we had in Peru. The hotel location was very easy for town but in a quiet, more residential area which was really nice. The staff were so helpful. We had a problem with our onward plans and they allowed us to check out late and use the reception phone to try to contact the airline which was a big help! Hopefully we will come back to Huaraz at some point in the future and stay at Churup again!
The Churup Guest House was a fantastic place to stay in Huaraz. We stayed there before and after our Cordillera Huayhuash trek. It is very clean, comfortable, and within a half mile of most things you would go to in Huaraz. Also, the breakfast in the morning was amazing and the place had great views! I would certainly stay there again when coming to Huaraz!
