We hadn't booked anywhere upon arriving late into huaraz, so wandered around until we found an available bed at a good price. This was Virgin del Carmen. The room we were given for 70 PEN per night was very small, it was hard to open our packs and still have space to open the door and move around, the bathroom... More

his hostal was as nice as any place in Huaraz. I parked my volunteers there when they come to work in my project, but never again. Service has to be a factor that every visitor must depend on. My volunteers left a bag behind with my name on it because it was things that I loaned them during their stay.I... More

Cheap and still well placed (30s for a private room, or a privatized dormitorio => on rooftop, near the Wifi router ;)). The staff is NOT friendly at all and the hostel is clean but still need repair. Still, we spend several days there because it was cheap compare to other hostels. The last day, when we waited the afternoon... More

There wifi doesn't work at the bedrooms, but at the reception it's great and there is also a computer. there is no utensils at the kitchen, but the place is cozy, the shower is great, the price and the location are good. u can leave your stuff to go camping for free but it's not very safe.

The hostel is really cheap, and by that I mean the rooms as well as the service. We were denied toilet paper twice, and only after I insisted they asked how much we paid for the room. When the answer was 45 soles (for 3 people) they gave us toilet paper for the shared bathroom. The rooftop terrace and hot... More

We god a good price for the terrace room with private bathroom but only when we talked with the owner. We stated here twice between hikes and the 2nd time the reception guy pretty much say there was no room (big group coming but not confirmed) and that if we wanted we needed to pay the full price (not worthy)... The hostel is clean, cheap and has a fantastic terrace. I would of given them 4 out of 5 however if we weren't kicked out of our room for a festival. It was obvious they kicked us out so they could charge double because of the festival. We were annoyed as we had already been there three nights and they... More

I stayed here only one night and was pleased with the prices. They have all levels, I took the small economy room for 15 solis, though they have much bigger rooms, some with tvs and private bathrooms in a range of prices. The wifi worked well, and was alright even in the far rooms. There is a gorgeous rough top... More

The owner Carmella was very hospitable and the rooftop terrace was fantastic. The Hostel is in a good location close to the city center. The room was a bit small but comfortable, and a pretty good value at 40 soles with a private bathroom. Wifi throughout the hostel and they were happy to store our luggage the day we were... More
