The rooms were clean, the breakfast excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The view from the breakfast room is spectacular! It is possible to order an evening meal from a local restaurant - the quality was good.

We stayed three nights in Hotel Santa Cruz. When we arrived, it was already dark and the staff helped to order dinner for us to eat in the dinning room and started a fire in the fireplace to keep us warm. We felt rather at home immediately. The room was simply but practically furnished. Love the fluffy duvet for a...

This hotel is a little out of the main part of town, which is probably a good thing if you want a little more quiet. Some of the rooms face the street and others face the town and the mountains so ask for one of those. The views from these rooms is truly outstanding. There was a small deck and...

First - willy - the manager is very helpful and knowledgeable. He really has a handle on what to do and where to go in the area. The rooms are spartan but wonderful compared to other Peruvian hotels we stayed in. Down comforters were great. Common areas are real nice - fireplace, bar, tv, music. Very fun. The best?..... Great place, with really bright, clean rooms, warm beds, and fantastic views over the Cordillera Blanca. The staff were very helpful with information about the town and sights and there is a good collection of books in the dining room. The downside is the location, which is a bit out of town.

My son and his girlfriend and I stayed here several times during our adventures in the Cordillera Blanca this summer. We travelled with Respons tourism in Huaraz which I also recommend highly if you wish to get off the beaten path and see some incredible remote areas and really experience the Andean way of life.
