Zarela is legendary for a reason. She came very highly recommended to my fiance and I from other backpackers around Peru, and there was no disappointment. Her house is very comfortable and clean, with many patios to better enjoy free time when not cruising around Huaraz. The rooms had plenty of space and nice hot showers. The real draw, however,...

Zarela is a lovely host and makes you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. I comfortably stayed 3 nights in a 6 bed dorm. Laundry service on point! I had the Pad Thai and red curry - both were beyond expectations!! Her produce is coming from a local organic garden. Would highly recommend staying here. Breakfast...

I spent three days in this hotel. The bedroom and the bathroom were clean, the WiFi was good, the restaurant excellent, the staff was friendly and available. One of the best hotel I have seen in Peru for this range of price.

We had a great time here. Zarela was wonderful; such a lovely hostess, she really looked after us and helped us to organise tours and plan our trip. The restaurant is great - amazing Thai food! The rooms are comfortable and very clean. However, it can get quite noisy (noise from outside the hotel not inside), which made it a...

I stayed here for two nights and was a refreshing comfortable heaven compared to where I had stayed before in Trujillo. It has a warm homey atmosphere everywhere, the bar is beautiful, and Zarela is very kind and full of stories. As it is located a few blocs away from the central square, you are not annoyed by traffic or...

This hotel may not be super fancy, but who needs/wants fancy in Huaraz anyway? It does have everything you need before or after a trek - hot showers, comfortable beds, and the nicest, most helpful owner (Zarela) and staff ever. You feel welcome and at home. The hotel is around the corner from the Iglesia La Soledad, and only a...

If you are in Huaraz for trekking, La Casa de Zarela is best place to stay. You will get all the necesary tips for trek and those will be in high value. Rooms are good, food in restaurant is great, still you can use kitchen as well.

Will stay here again without looking for other options in Huaraz. Owner, Zarela, is a world traveler and very empathetic with her guests/very accommodating for changes in plans (based on her personal experiences when she was treated well and when she wasn't). She is very knowledgeable about the area's activities from serious rock climbing to family activities to shopping. There...

This accomodation is definately one of the best places to stay in Huaraz. Good value for money, very nice and spacious rooms and one of the most cosy decoration we've seen during our trip. All the patio's and the rooftop terras are full of plants and nicely selected furniture, making it a inviting place to prepare for or recover from...
