Simply an extraordinary place where you would not expect to find one. The standard is world class in presentation, fit out and amenities and the staff are very professional and highly attentive. An oasis in very unique terrain. The food and beverage again is of the highest quality by any standard and inside this hotel it is easy to forget... More

The bellhops from the hotel Sumaq met our train and took our "day pack" (you're told that you're restricted to 11 pounds for the train (the Vista Dome) but it's really a day pack restriction) and we headed up to Machu Picchu. The hotel is really lovely -- a bit off the beaten path for the main part of town.... More

We came in on one of the later trains and the staff of the Sumaq Hotel could not have been more accommodating. They met us at the train and kept the kitchen open just to make sure we were able to get something to eat before a day of hiking around Machu Picchu. It was surprising how hungry we still... More

We stayed a couple of nights and the staff was on top of whatever we needed. We arranged to be picked up at the Cusco airport and hired the tour to Machu Picchu. The staff was super friendly. The food was outstanding, and in addition Mr. Francisco and the restaurant staff made us feel like special guests while dining. The... More

We arrived in Aguas Callientes to see the Inca ruins of the Machu Picchu citadel surrounded by sacred mountains. All arrangements were previously conveniently arranged by the five-star SUMAQ Hotel, including our excellent and highly recommended professional guide, Señor Joel Castillo Villicencio. Our hotel stay was outstanding, with professional customer services, amenities and plush comfort. Noteworthy, was the hotel's gourmet... More

We stayed here while visiting Machu Picchu. The service and rooms were awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only problem was bad wifi in the room. It's not a big deal but sometimes I just need to check my email. The hotel is located just a short walk to line up for the bus that goes up to... More

Long day on the mountain and my wife's sneakers came apart at the sole. Hotel staff fixed the shoes that night and they were ready the next day to continue to hiking! Second day had checked out early to see the sunrise at Machu Pichhu and returned to collect bags before boarding the train to Cusco. Hotel let us use... More

an underestimated hotel with a nice breakfast although it needs improvement (organic oats, low fat yogurt, low fat milk) but the real hidden germ is the cooking lessons and pisco sour cocktail. you will taste one of the best ceviche, made in front of you and pisco sour cocktail but drink cautiously, it is so strong. recommended.

Being quite a distance away from the big smoke it was Surprising to rate this hotel the best we stayed at in our time in Peru. Our room faced the river out front which disappointingly only had a trickle of water in it would have been spectacular in full flow. However the room was clean and tidy as you expect... More

Great location, nice welcome drink and great looking and tasting appetizer.... Bummer that check in tune is 1 pm, so we have to wait for getting our room, watched the pisco making class, staff are trying to make it as comfortable as possible.... More to come.
