We stopped here for one night as part of our O.A.T. tour to Machu Picchu. Since it was only one night, it was adequate and we slept well. The room was very small with two twin beds, and to charge our phones we had to upend the waste basket and put the phones on there so they wouldn't be on the floor as a tripping hazard during the night. Bathroom so tiny that the door blocked access to the toilet. Right by the river and easy walk to downtown. The rooms are down a warren of hallways. Elevator. Asked to buy water at front desk but they sent us to a store about a block away. So have water if you arrive late at night. Buffet breakfast was fine. Space heater. Of the 4 hotels we stayed at, this was the worst but you are here to see Machu Picchu and will spend very little time at the hotel itself.…
We spent one night here before visiting Machu Picchu mountain. Our train put us into town at 10:30am and they had a room ready for us right away. The rooms are dated and a bit cottage-like, but I think that's typical for Aguas Calientes. Our room was at the end of the hall, so we had a great view of the river. The WiFi didn't work in the room, but there's plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby. The staff were friendly and stored our luggage for us when we checked out early the next morning and we picked them up after finishing on the mountain. Only complaint is the room was damp, but since the hotel is on the river and it's the end of wet season, I don't think there's much the hotel can do - at least the room came with a space heater to warm things up and dry them out. Overall, the place is nice for a short stay - decent price and close to everything.…
Nice hotel. Nothing fancy but worked for the one night we were there. Had a river view room with balcony so soothing river noise to put us to sleep. Included breakfast was just fine and easy walk to town for dinner and shopping. Some might complain rooms are small but we are not there for the room we were there for Machu Picchu. Room was to sleep and get up and do it again.
Because you thought that being in a more private accommodation was going to make a unique experience because we were not wrong and we enjoyed the maximum stay because the tencio was first the food even better and comforting climb to Machupicchu. wonderful
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. They have a great breakfast buffet. Great views of the rushing river and mountains right outside. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.
