We stayed at this "hotel" for two nights recently during our recent travels through Peru. This is our 7th hotel out of the 8 that we have stayed so far in Peru. Our choice of hotels have been 4-star OR 5-star & barring two hotels (this one included) each of our other hotel stays have been memorable. The first issue... More

This is a very nice hotel (would get a 5 rating except for items noted below). It was very clean, modern, had a good restaurant and attentive service. Breakfast was better than most hotel buffet breakfasts. The only negatives were that the free wifi was not very reliable. And there was a significant amount of noise (my room was very... More

We found the staff to be very helpful. They were willing to trade in our included lunch for a box lunch that we told along to Machu Picchu. The room was rather small by hotel standards but it was meticulously clean. This hotel spans 5 different building on the side of a hill. Our room was in the 4th building.... More

The hotel El Mapi was a wonderful site to see after our 4 day trek to Machu Picchu. A very upscale, clean hotel with bar and restaurant on site. Perfectly located close to the center square, train & bus stops. The rooms were comfortable and they include a wonderful breakfast buffet. The only downfall we had was that the hallways... More

We were only there one night but wish it were more. Very comfy rooms, good restaurant, nice bathroom. Loved the quote above the bed. Dinner and breakfast included. Dinner was three courses and very good.

This hotel was surprisingly an excellent one. The room we stayed at was very clean, spacious, and very cozy. We were even provided with bathrobes! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast offered lots of choices - they will even cook your omelette right in front of you with your choice of filling like cheese, ham, & veggies.... More

Well where do I start... We chose to stay at the El Mapi as a treat after four days doing the inca trail and camping without a decent shower or toilet.... From the moment we arrived it was a disaster. We had arrived in our room and the first thing we did was to have a shower and relax. We... More

We stayed here while visiting Machu Picchu. I was amazed by the hotel. It was comfy and edgy at the same time, very modern and eco aware. The WiFi signal was strong. They had a representative at the train station so we were able to leave one of our back packs with them and head straight to Machu Picchu. Our... More

Did a tour to Peru & Ecuador and SmarTours booked all our lodging. El MaPi was in a great location. We had a group dinner and the buffet breakfast and both had good food. Aguas Calientes is a cute small town and this hotel was right in the hart with plenty of easy walking. Most of our time spent was... More

I love the room. There is a lovely quote above the bed that can inspire your time in the area. The hotel is very ecologically aware. Food at the hotel was very good, we ate breakfast and dinner there. The only thing that was concerning was that the wifi was incredibly slow but they are circled by high mountains!
