It was a really good service to have someone waiting from the hotel waiting outside of the Machu Picchu train station. He was kind enough to carry the bag for us. The check in was breeze. Despite of some difficulty in communicating in English, all of the people at the hotel went their out to assist their customers. I had...

We stood here during our trip to Peru and we loved it! It was super convenient, people super nice, clean, and so close to everything. We needed a guide to go to Machupicchu and the hotel was able to help us, at the same time we need it pick up from trains and the hotel arranged it as well :)...

We stayed at the Casa Del Sol for two days January 13th & 14th. What a wonderful find! The hotel is a small, comfortable and well appointed hotel. The staff from Eduardo, Olga, Lucia and our bartender & waiter, Miyoshi, couldn't have been more helpful & caring. Combine this with our two day trips up to Machu Picchu made for...

Very convenient location. Right across from the train station, and within easy walking distance to dining and shopping. We arrived late at night, weary from all-day travel. Eduardo was very welcoming during check-in and took his time explaining the features of the room. The town is quaint, beautiful, and historic... hotels are generally not modern or luxurious. This hotel overlooks...

I could say all best words for this hotel. Nice check in with very very nice staff. Cozy restaurant area, comfortable breakfast served. Nice rooms, mine “over” the river (what a relaxing sound!). Clean bathroom, wonderful shower. All possible positive words. But the nicest and most valuable surprise was offered at check in. I stayed there for just one night....

This hotel deserves more than 5 stars! From the moment we met the friendly staff at the train station, just a 5 minute walk across the tracks to the hotel, were greeted with a welcome drink at reception and shown to our upgraded room, we felt like royalty at this beautiful hotel. Handmade chocolates awaited us in our room with...

The best and worst thing about this hotel is that when you get off the train all you have to do is walk across the tracks and you are checking in. Our daughter had a room facing the tracks and my husband & I had a room facing the river. You most definitely want a room facing the river. It...

Excellent hotel and service. Make sure you ask for a room facing the river otherwise it may be noisy on the train station side. Eduardo was very welcoming, and oriented us to the various activities and sights in the area. The rooms are very good, with Tissue (hard to find in hotels there), fans, and river views. Above and beyond...

My family (2 early 60s, 3 late 20s) stayed here while visiting Machu Picchu. Its location is very convenient--under 5 minutes from train station and 2 minutes to the where the Machu Picchu buses pick up and drop off, and overlooking the Urubamba River, which lulls you to sleep. Very comfortable--not a Ritz Carlton, but the feel of a nice,...

We spent a night here prior to visiting Machu Picchu and our reservation included both breakfast and a multi-course meal. The room size is decent with large windows that open to a fantastic view of the river below. Since dinner was included,we sat down with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised. The meal was one of the better we had...
