Central Hotel at the river in Aquas Caliente, only 3 Minutes from the Train Station. We got an upgrade to the Suite upon arrival, which was amazing. The beds are very comfortable. Try and and get a room to the river, as you have the...More

Great view of the river but terrible services and spa. We requested two rooms together but got them separate. There were strange, loud noises coming from the basement as well. Overall, our hotel experience did not match what we payed for.
Our room was decent-sized and had a mini-fridge (pay for items consumed), desk with chair, two easy chairs, two nightstands, and some drawers. No bedside clock. The room had air conditioning but the a/c light shines like a torch on bed and the a/c air...More

Sorry for the late response. It depends if you want to go back to Macchu Picchu a second day. We spend only one day and then took a late afternoon train to Cusco. It was fine, but we only toured the ruins and hiked the Inca Bridge and didn’t really feel like we could also have hiked up Macchu picchu the same day. If it is just a choice of where to spend the night, definitely spend it in Cusco, which is a far more interesting and fun city than Aguas Caliente. Not sure about Urabamba, because we never went.
