A calm retreat after hiking the Inca trail. Clean and comfortable, with a nice courtyard. The front desk people were very helpful. Breakfast at a nearby restaurant was included. I would stay there again.

The agency I booked a 4 day trek with (SAM TRAVEL PERU - who are amazing by the way!) booked me into here. I had a twin room with private bathroom for 1 person for 1 night. Given Aquas Calientes' reputation, I was expecting little. It way exceeded my expectations. Clean, modern rooms. Bathrooms are tops. And the best bit...

I was ambivalent about the rating of this place as clearly it is basic accommodation so I didn't want to be too harsh just cause my tour had ended up here (ie fault of the tour organizer, not of the place), then I found out they request 50usd for a single room and 65 for a double, and was sure...

This hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Aguas Calientes, not far from the train station and the bus stop to Machu Picchu. The room was clean, but nothing special. The hotel was also a little bit noisy. Breakfast was good and they were quite helpful, so in the end, a very decent option for one night.

We stayed here one night as part of a Geckos tour. The hostal is nestled between the train tracks and the river, but we didn’t find the noise particularly disruptive. Rooms are arranged around a rather pretty central garden courtyard. Our room itself was nothing special but neat and tidy with a window looking into the courtyard and a warm,...

Basic but fully adequate. Good buffet breakfast served in hotel next door (El Presidente), where wifi service is also available. They let us store our luggage without charge during our visit to Machu Picchu.

I stayed here with a group of 10 friends, so we occupied 5 rooms. The ones at the back, overlooking the river and having a extra window are the best, the others have a window to the court yard. Everyone was satisfied with the rooms. There was plenty of hot water (I don't take 5 minutes showers, so I don't...

We got room 205 with two large windows on the river Urabamba or Villcanota. The balcony was outside the door. The river is very loud, but we found it very nice. The one road in town runs along the river, so there is lots of bus traffic that starts at 0530. We had lots of hot water, and no problems...

First of all,we made a reservation for that hotel and we received an email to confirm it. When we arrived, they didnt have any record of our reservation. We finally got two rooms. When you walk into the room, an overpowering stench surrounds you. In one of our rooms, the windows didn't close so the room was freezing! Not exactly...
