An Absolutely wonderful stay at Rupa Wasi - I was there this August with my two brothers and it made for a magical place from which to hike and explore Machu Picchu. The wood tree houses were beautiful and the beds incredibly comfortable - perfect for sinking into after a long day of hiking (and also by far and away... More

We enjoyed our stay here, but were disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed for maintenance, as it was the main reason we wanted to stay there. We got massages in our room that were great, and the room was quite comfortable. Even though the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner, we still enjoyed a nice breakfast there... More

Some might say you should come to the Sacred Valley to disconnect, but those hand't seen the dozens of wifi signs in Aguas Calientes. Even if it wasn't the scenario, if you offer wifi you must provide it on the most expensive room (number 6), it doesn't matter if it is the farthest from the reception. Figure it out. After... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days in July because were visiting Machu Picchu. It requires a walk up a heavy flight of stairs, but the reward is the unique format of the hotel and the still convenient location to the town center. I know that some of the reviews said that the room and towels were a... More

On a trip where our average cost of accommodation was $30 or less, $75 was a bit of a splurge here, but it was worth it. We had been traveling for four days before arriving to Aguas Calientes and this hotel had the best beds and showers we had encountered since arriving. It was the first truly hot shower I... More

This is a great little Eco lodge. Our room, No.4, was charming and had amazing views and a super comfortable bed. In fact, it's the most comfortable bed we've had during our trip. The restaurant was as good--if not better--than everyone says, and a bargain given the quality/cost ratio at other restaurants in town. What would move my rating from... More

Our room in Rupa Wasi was super comfortable. The beds were great and the room was clean. There isn't much room to unpack your things but since most people don't stay more than one night this isn't much of a problem. The shower had pretty hot water and the staff is friendly. Wish the treehouse restaurant was open during our... More

Overall: When I travel, I look for interesting places to stay and places that have a connection to nature and/or the culture of the region. I was happy with Rupa Wasi in this respect. It is certainly not a "run of the mill" hotel. The two girls working the reception desk were very nice and responded to all our requests.... More

Being in the hospitality industry with a keen eye for details, this turned out to be the biggest disappointment I've faced. I had booked this hotel months ago as it was a reasonably priced hotel with lovey views. The hotel itself is small with only 6 rooms and rooms are very cozy. A few family members got there earlier and... More

Was an adventure finding the place. Not for those with fear of heights. But, if you're afraid of heights, you shouldn't be in this part of the world anyway, Disappointed that their restaurant (a well- rated restaurant in Aquas Calientes) was closed for maintenance. Service was good, walls are thin. Mornings are cold. Heated room and hot shower was a... More
