I was there with my girlfriend at beginnings of October 2006. I made my bookimg via email, and payed in advance when I arrived in Cusco, at their office in that city. Following past comments posted here, I asked for a room with river view. Arrived in Aguas Calientes, we waited at train station for an attendant to guide us...

The room was very clean and had a great view of the tracks -:), see photos. Good thing the last train of the day is just before 10pm. The one thing that I did not like was the way the breakfast was served. The hotel restaurant only opens at 5am and as the first bus to Machu Pichu is at...

river view room and breakfast were nice, but terrible bed bugs! the only ones we encountered in over 2 weeks of Peru travel including jungle time and other economical hotels. staff unresponsive when we told them, their reply: “they're not poisonous". Maybe not poisonous, but my legs were torn up for the next week!

Stayed here after completing the Inca trail. We arrived in a massive group all wanting a shower at the same time so it is no surprise that the hotwater packed in. It came back on in 5 mins though and the hotel could not be faulted, its just that all 23 of their showers were being used simultaneously. Room was...

We had a river view room with a balcony. It's a lovely view and wonderful to hear the river at night. The room was comfortable, but we did get bitten by bugs (I have no idea what kind) at night. Our room had a TV and phone whereas our kid's room did not have either. If those items are important...
