Similar to many travelers, we stayed here as part of a SAS tour. It was so disappointing. The rooms were all windowless, dirty, and smelly. It was also extremely loud all the time and I barely slept. The few pros: the shower was hot, but only because we arrived early. I think others were stuck with cold water. Breakfast and... More

Lastly I must add a word about Aquas Caliente. We stayed there at the Hostel VIAJEROS after our trek on the last day. I absolutely loved the small, relaxed environment of the village. No roads, no cars, just folks on the streets. We had a wonderful dinner there at a very nice resturant. Excellent meal. $15.00 U.S including drinks. The... More

We stayed at Viajeros for one night with SAS Travel before our hike to Machu Picchu. Good things: location, hot water. Bad things: mould, poor wi-fi, stuffy small rooms with no windows, disorganized staff (the meals were never on time, because of which we nearly missed our Macchu Picchu tour). There are better places in Aguas Calientes.

We randomly chose this hotel when we arrived at aguas calientes, it was 7pm and we had been travelling all day. The wake up call for Macchu Picchu was at 4am so we only needed a place to take a shower and have some sleep. At 75soles for a triple with private bathroom (amd hot showes) this looked like a... We were given a 3rd floor corner room because it was quieter than the rooms in the front. It probably was not occupied often because the bathroom walls were covered with black mold. We kept the bathroom door closed due to the repulsive odor from the bathroom. Oddly, there was a very hot shower at 3am. The room's door had... More

Stayed here 1 night with SAS travel while we waited to go up to Machu Picchu. Yes, it is basic. Yes, the food was okay. We had hot water and wifi which was great. Great location and very friendly staff! Good value for the little money we paid :)

Like other reviewers we stayed at Hostel Viajeros as part of a SAS tour package. We were informed that this place was just a hostel and as such not as nice as others on the tour, so I wasn't really upset or surprised at the conditions, but I've stayed at budget hostels before and this one was just not good.... Stayed one night in this Hostel during our Machu Pichchu tour organized by SAS Travel, Cusco. This place is not very clean and the noise coming from outside was loud enough to disturb your sleep. Very basic breakfast and dinner (included in our package). Staff was really good and helpful. Wi-fi reception is really good. Hostel is located very close... More

I stayed here as part of a SAS travel package to Machu Piccu and I can assure you it was the worst place I have ever stayed at. Firstly there is no hot water, you get 30sec of lukewarm water at best (and this wasn't even in the morning). My room had windows to the outside with no locks which... More

This was probably the worst hostel we stayed in during a four-week trip. It was booked by SAS travel as part of our tour, and I think they own it. The location is great - right near the bus and train and in the centre of town. As a bed for the night it's also fine, but I found the... More
