I’m writing this as I am trying to sleep in our absolutely piece of garbage, dive motel. Royal Inti— this place is disgusting, loud, dirty, holes in wall, stains ALL over bed, window that’s not even sealed, 2 towels (not sure if they are clean, no other towels or shower mat, need I go on????? The last night of our 4 day, 3 night trek has forced me to write this as EVERYONE considering this, should know.... We are so tired from getting up at 3:30-4 am every morning and the least this company could do, is book a DECENT, last nights accommodation. Raise the price of the trek, for God’s sake!!!! Yes—there are hotel upgrades that you can add on— and I should DEFINITELY have done that——- BUT— make the default DECENT. Also— pick a different “last night” dinner spot. There are so many other places with better service, food and the same pricing.... Oh!!! Do not have people write reviews about the trek at dinner when they haven’t even checked into the hotel. Shame on you. Anyway, get it together. I’m so disappointed in this that I’m not writing about the good things. Bummer.

Staff was very friendly but none of them understands English. Couldnt get google translate to work as there were no wifi in the hotel. The staff was aware about the wifi issue but did not do anything about it. Room was ok just for sleeping not the most cleanest. Breakfast was average and location ok however dont think it is good value for money. The one thing that really did upset me was there was no hot shower and temperature outside was very cold and i did an intense trekking so would be nice to be able to come back to the room and have a nice shower.

If you are in Aguas Calientes only for one night, this might be good enough for you. The rooms are outdated, the bed is not very comfortable, and the breakfast that was provided was missing a lot of items, however, it is close to everything feels safe and the wifi was working fine. Most rooms overlook the streets and for that reason, it's very loud. You will probably not have a good night sleep but that might be good if you are going to Macchu Picchu early in the morning.

Wasn't as bad as the bad reviews I had read here. A bit tiny, not very fancy-looking first floor. Very noisy outside at all hours (ear plugs and eye mask are necessary)! Wifi didn't work in the room. When we got there, none of the rooms had power to the outlets, TV, etc. We complained and they finally did something that turned it on and allowed us to charge our devices. Room and bathroom seemed a bit dingy, but the water was, thankfully, hot! Tile floors make the room seem colder. Breakfast was lackluster. At least it was located near restaurants.

I have just spent a couple of nights there and let me start with the positives. Yes there were some! The staff were really friendly and tried their best to keep us happy. The rooms were clean enough and showers were hot. We shifted rooms because of the noise from the street at night. The windows really could have been thicker, they seemed to be the thinnest glass you could find, which was no barrier at all to the noise, as you are located on the main street. The noise of people talking out the front of the hotel goes straight through to your room, as does dogs running around barking and kids playing with the dogs - which does happen there until late at night. The staff, whilst helpful, didn't speak any English, luckily my girlfriend speaks Spanish. There was no breakfast served unless you called a phone number, and did so before 8am, which was the cut off of breakfast, so we never actually got any so we can't comment there. Wifi was intermittently working there, very poor the first night, and quite good the second. BUT... And here is quite a big deal for some people. There is an elevator being put in and other construction going on, so don't expect too much of a sleep in! The first day we got up early and did Machu Picchu so didn't expect a sleep in, the second day we had planned a lie in but were woken by the sound of hammering at about 8am. By about 8.30 once the staff knew we were up, construction seemed to get well under way with several workers there using hammers, grinders, etc. Now it didn't bother us too much as we just walked out the front door and went to one the many options there are in Aguas Calientes for breakfast and came back later. I think this place will probably be quite nice when finished, but as of June 2016 there is construction work going on there so be warned.
