The ambience of the Chinese Restaurant is fairly good. The staff were polite and rendered good service even though they were poorly dressed- need to update the uniforms. The food served was healthy and good

One of those classic days whose glory era faded well before democracy returned to Nigeria in 1999. Used to be quite a pleasant and somewhat upscale place for locals and tourists to congregate at the pool and its open areas for drinks, chilling and enjoying the excellent olympic-sized swimming pool. These days, the swimming pool, the highlight for day visitors,... More

This hotel was recommended at the last minute. The long, dark corridors and broken down lifts were a tell-tale sign but nothing prepared me for the room. Grotty, very old, discoloured towels, beddings, carpets- everything. With a few exceptions staff are rude and don't care. Don't go there.

Check Independence room 211. The cooling system is noisy without a cooling effect, the television set shows a blurry picture @ 21st century. The sink drainage continues to leak with a noisy sound all night long and a lousy excuse that the early morning newspaper wasn't available because the publishers machine broke down!!!

Between 11th and 16th of May 2015 I stayed at Lagos Airport Hotel Ikeja. For a hotel as old as Nigeria's independence, it is comforting to see the immense renovation and transformation it has undergone.the rooms are spacious, staff extremely courteous and ever willing to help guests. The complimentary breakfast is unique, combining continental with traditional Nigerian cuisines. The location, just... More

I stayed in this Hotel from 1st to 6th December, 2014 and just had to quickly revive the Hotel so others can beware. The plus is that the hotel's location is in Ikeja in a central place. Outside that, every other thing sucks. The Hotel is old and needs a major renovation though some bit of renovation is being seen... More

Hospitality business in Nigeria sucks in general because the results or service rendered does not meet expectation but every hotel want to charge you what a four star hotel charges you in the developed world,so anyone going really need to lower your hotel service expectation to a Motel 6 standard in America, these are hotels charging the upwards of at least... The place is being partially and lightly renovated. Some rooms are almost new and therefore not bad. Room service is terrible(at least 75 mins wait time) and good isn't great. The windowless restaurant is tiny and the morning breakfast live station prepares fresh eggs but no extractors 😔). Just a fair place for a brief stay

This hotel is very entertaining for all the wrong reasons. Staff service - staff at reception are off-hand. Basically the attitude is "take it or leave it" Rooms - you have to pay by cash only and can only pay one day at a time. If you do not pay by mid-day they put a padlocked metal bar across your...
