Just over a week ago, I checked into Maples Cottage Lekki to reserve a table for dinner with the family but unknowingly walked out leaving my wallet at the bush bar, which was manned by a young lad (Francis Edwin). The content of the misplaced wallet included some local (Naira) and GBP currencies and some bank cards. Luckily for me, my business card was also in the wallet. To cut a long story short, Francis found my wallet and took it to the front desk who inspected the wallet to retrieve a business card and made several attempts to reach me, including calls to my UK phone number and an email to my business email address. They finally reached me via WhatsApp, see attached screenshot. I would like to use this medium to specially thank and appreciate Francis Edwin for his honesty and for the professionalism of the Maple Cottage Lekki staff.

We checked in here for the long weekend when we couldn't get a space at our usual choice. Quiet environment, beautiful with warm receptive staff at the front desk. Good price point. Finally, a place where the wifi actually works! That's integrity, a big plus for maple cottage, my children loved this. The cable channel selection is not ideal however plus the toilet wasn't properly cleaned before we checked in , these were a few bad points . All in all not bad at all. Sent from my iPhone

The location is ducked off in lekki which is a very good location. The rooms are very clean and also a very nice size. Nice size TV and a fridge with a very comforting bed. Beautiful walk in glass shower included.

This could have been a great hotel but for bad management! The services are so disorganised. So much so housekeeping forget to put toilet paper in the bathrooms, at times towels. It is also not a good place if you are not mobile. Parking is also an issue.

Once I got to the reception I was told my room was about to be given out. I was shown to the room which was dark and in a poor state. I was also told that the room was not the one I paid for. It was a superior room . I had to use my suitcase to cover the peeling wall paper. I just stayed the night in that room and got transferred the next night to another room . After i had come back from a busy day I was told again that the room I was given was still not the one I paid for and I had an even smaller room this room was even worse than the previous one dark and gloomy with a leaking toilet. I was frustrated and checked out at 12 midnight to a beautiful hotel down the road rooken villas where I was given the service I wanted.
