After an uncomfortable choppy Lake crossing on a noisy overcrowded ferry and then another more comfortable hour in our pre arranged car transfer (Careli tours) we bumped over a rutted track and climbed a narrow paved roadway to finally arrive at the remote and very beautiful setting of Totoco eco lodge. The views from the open sided lounge and dining...

Wonderful experience!! The staff was super kind and helpful. The view as well as the surroundings are really stunning. Ideal place to relax and enjoy the nature. The lodge is located up into the jungle so approx 15-20mn walk to get from the main road to the lodge. Otherwise, the staff can arrange for ATV or Motorbike rentals delivered directly...

We stayed here for 2 nights which for me was enough. The views from your room, the reception area or pretty much anywhere are gorgeous. As my friend commented, it is very peaceful here, but not quiet! Monkeys howled off and on all night and we also heard birds, etc. Not unexpected but remember you will be in the middle...

As others have mentioned the views are priceless ! The landscape beautiful. You are really paying for the experience here rather than a luxury resort. We were prepared ahead of time for what we were getting into based on other reviews. If you are booking a stay here based on the beautiful photos posted on their website DON'T ! The...

It's a journey to get there, but Totoco is worth it. It rests on the hillside of Maderas Volcano with a stunning view of Volcan Concepcion. Our cabin was a bit rustic but beds were very good, a king, double and a single. Two of us enjoyed excellent massages on our front porch in the stillness and the soft breeze,...

I loved our stay in the eco-logde and I would love to come back. Beautiful view of the volcano, really nice pool and comfortable rooms. The dinner was a bit boring, but breakfast was really good. I would definitely recommend this to other travelers who are looking to stay someplace different.

This was the low point of our 6 week tour. There was an awful boat trip to the island, with many passengers needing sick bags. The lodge was in the back of beyond and very unkempt, our room was basic and not very clean. The toilet was interesting as it was a bench with a hole over a bucket which...

Fantastic view of the island and of course volcano. We had a great afternoon by the pool. Can't comment on the rooms as we did not stay the night but everywhere was clean and bright. Be prepared for a long hike up from the road - we did it on foot as the path was unsuitable for mopeds.

The hotel definitely lives up to their ECO motto, but it was NOT worth the price, which was $100/per night for us (it might be worth about half that). As stated elsewhere, this place has an amazing view of the Concepcion volcano and Lake Nicaragua from your room, bar, and pool. You will take lots of nice pictures that you...

We decided to treat ourselves to this place as the reviews looked good. It was amazing! We stayed in Bamboo, stunning room with big open windows with the most incredible views of Conception, we would have stayed longer if they had a room available.. So luxurious while completely off grid and eco conscious, pretty amazing..
