My partner and I recently travelled to Ourrzazate for a night and make the very good choice to book a stay at Dar Kamar. Though we reserved last-minute, in the height of Ramadan, when we arrived, we were treated with impeccable hospitality by the manager, Mohammad. After a long journey, we enjoyed cool drinks on the beautiful rooftop terrace, overlooking... More

Dad Kamar has the real feel of Riad life. Mohammed, the manager couldn't do enough to make our stay more perfect.. Delicious Breakfasts on the roof terrace looking out over the rooftops to the Atlas Mountains and desert, breathtaking. He even drew maps and suggested touring itineraries. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was brilliant, loved the bathroom... More

Realy enjoyed my stay in that hotel. Not the modern-clean-impersonal tower block but the local, warm, rather dark quiet hotel with a limited number of rooms. Service and food was perfect. We had diner inside the building but breakfast on the roof while enjoying the surounding buildings and landscape. The storches abouve the minaret nearby. A marvel.

This is a gorgeous small Dar in the Medina. Very traditional, cutely furnished rooms and bright blue bathroom! Wonderful terrace at the top with great views and a freshly served breakfast here in the mornings. Perfect.... We ate dinner at Douyria restaurant and had one of the best meals for the whole trip. If you are staying in Quazzazat then... More

Yes, the water spits. The showers, refrigeration, lighting and wifi are ordinary, but the place is utterly charming and the hospitality wonderful. Each room is a good size and has its own theme. The beds are comfortable. This hotel is in a building which is centuries old (17th - I think) and is right in the middle of the Kasbah.... More

This is a Dar not a Riad – Less decoration with red adobe type walls. Great terrace on the roof with good views of the village and the stork nesting on the top of the minaret ( It has nested for 11 years which is as long as Mohammed has been running the Dar) The rooms are pretty small and... More

Dar Kamar is a luxury hotel in the old Kasbah fort/old village complex in the center of Ouarzazate. We had three large rooms which were very cozy, clean and comfortable. The old building and the location lend the hotel a very exotic flavor. We had a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is in the neighboring building, with... More

The Dar Kamar is a carefully and skillfully restored old courthouse in the old town of Quarzazate. You walk through very narrow alleys with old houses and suddenly get to an elegant door which opens to let you into paradise. I did also very much enjoy the very uncomplicated hospitality of the staff

We only stayed one night but it was our first in Ouarzazate and it was a pleasure to be there. A charming haven down a long rocky path of a seemingly questionable neighborhood but once you reached the riad and walked up the steps into a lovely entrance and comforting atmosphere you felt like you were home. And the best... More
