Auberge Amazir is a wonderful authentic "hotel" on the edge of the desert but with all the comforts of home. It has a lovely pool, comfortable, beautiful rooms, some with great views looking out over the rolling hills of the desert, and great food! The hosts are very helpful, friendly and speak English and French as well as Arabic and... More

The auberge opens directly to the dunes, staff friendly with a range of languages spoken. Easily organised camel trip and authentic night in the desert. Loved the family atmosphere, food and music! Good pool. Would stay again! Our room opened onto rooftop terrace with amazing views out over the dunes. Romantic!

Although not a great hotel, we were lucky to have the hotel to ourselves. It was peaceful with a pool to swim in or sit beside for lunch. The rooms were adequate at best, although there was a little more room to swing the proverbial cat! The bathroom seems the traditional metre square but at least the shower had a... More

We stayed at riad amazir in December. Good food. Good friendly service and comfortable rooms. Staff and owner are very welcoming and helpful. Hotel backs straight on to large sand dunes. Traditionally decorated and a good swimming pool. I would Recommend this hotel.

ok, maybe not "amazing" but a very comfortable and homey place. Larbi along with the rest of his family are great hosts. It is a nice (and rare) combination of professional, laid back and fun. Although we stayed but two days, it felt that we left as friends. The first night we were welcomed with music and great conversation. I... More

It's our 2nd time at Auberge Amazir. We chose to come here again for the amazing hospitality and to be directly at the dunes. Larbi the owner is a wonderful Host, a really special character. His staff/family have a very good sense of service, hospitality and humour. Thank you!! There was a new year's eve party, with local music and... More

This locally owned guest house has great bones but falls way short of the rosy reviews given in Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor. Auberge Amazir consists of a Kasbah style house with large rooms and dining areas that have been left to deteriorate – in our first room the air conditioning didn’t work and in the second the door handle... Great value in Morocco. It was 30 euro a night with 2 big meals, great food. The staff was friendly, worldly, spoke several languages and really went the extra mile, great hospitality. The view of the dunes was amazing. It was easy to organize a sunrise cameal trek within a few hours for 15 euro. The owner sat with us... More

The hotel is a great deal for the money, 600 Dirhams for 2 people including standard Moroccan breakfast, dinner; bottled water and mint tea. The staff are extremely helpful, especially my man Moha, and can organize any type of excursions for very reasonable prices. The best part however was the camel trip (800 Dir for 2) into the dunes and... More
