If you want to have a camel trip with an overnight stay in the dessert, we recommend Cafe du Sud! Two hours into the dessert they have a beautiful camping site. Here you can sleep in one of the ten tents with beds in them. They will serve you very good diner and breakfast. If there's not too much wind,...

This hotel is at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. It was amazing to be able to walk out and hike the red sand dunes. Make sure to do it barefooted. Did 2 camel rides into the dunes, one for sunset and another for sunrise. I even got a carpet ride down the dunes. You could also rent ATV's...

Been there for one night with my wife when we were visiting the south of Marocco. All the employees are very nice, but auberge have very modest facilities. Even considering we were in the desert, the meals, breakfast and dinner were very poor.I think its not difficult to improve this not so good point. The tour and night at bivouac it...

This hotel was such a delightful surprise! Our entire package included transport to and from Marrakech with Moha - who was our amazing guide. The drive to the desert included several stops and was very scenic. Upon arrival at the Auberge de Sud hotel in Merzouga we were greeted with tea and shown to our rooms which were lovely. We...

Myself and 3 girlfriends came down to Marrakech from Rabat for the weekend to do a desert excursion. The Auberge Du Sud was recommended by a friend that came a year ago and we were excited and had high hopes for our trip. From the minute Moha picked us up at our riad Friday morning all our expectations were exceeded....

Though the hotel Auberge du Sud is perfectly charming, we only had tea there by the pool while we waited for our camel ride to their desert tent camp. The pool area is expansive and quite beautiful. The desert camp we stayed in is owned and operated by the Auberge du Sud. As the time approached for sunset, we were...

Went to the luxe bivaque experience (2 hours camel ride + sleep in a tent in the desert). The camel ride was great although our guide didn't know any language other than Arab. The camping is great: big tents, big rooms, shower and toilet. But the dinner and night animation were very weaks.

We went there really tired for the camel expedition. We were provided with a room to rest and some lunch for free, just because they were so nice with us. The camel trip was the best thing we did in Morocco! Our guide Hamir was a great guy. The only flaw was that on the desert Hamir and his buddies...
