Very nice kasbah, ideal location at the foot of the dunes, spacious rooms, very comfortable, well heated, flowered patios, very nice terraces and restaurant room where the fire crackled in the fireplace, very nice. In a word, the setting is perfect. The service is a little short, irregular, not always attentive, like the evening meal and breakfast.

We were extremely impressed by the Kasbah Mohayut. The staff were very professional and the hospitality was amazing. There was great warm atmosphere at the Kasbah. The proprietor, Moha, takes a personal interest in the experience of his guests. The hotel grounds, rooms and pool are sparkling clean. We enjoyed every meal and snack while staying there as the food was authentic Moroccan and delicious! Moha is able to organize a myriad of activities in the desert, from camel treks to 4x4 tours of the dune sea. Flexibility is his forté, and he does not disappoint. This Kasbah is definitely worth checking out, the service is great and if you are interested in learning about the local area and Berber culture, Moha and his team were very helpful and knowledgeable.

We had booked a mid level room, but we’re given a huge room with a very big main bed and two singles. Arrived with tea on the terrace, served mainly by Barack, who is very sweet. Dinner was delicious and we even had a beer! The owner came by and invited us to a showing of the constellations from the upper terrace, which was very interesting. The shower in the room was the best we’ve had in Morocco. We walked out into the desert a bit and watched the sunset.

To be honest I cannot say enough about the hotel and its wonderful staff. We came to the hotel from Dades Valley. The welcome provided by the hotel staff made us forget how tired we were. We are vegetarians and we were served different plates full of delecious vegetables. The rooms were cosy and wonderfully decorated..

On a different note, we highly recommend Merzouga village and Oasis . The Berber hospitality is indeed warm and a welcome change when compared to the big cities. We are very happy to recommend thjis hotel to all our friends

We just enjoyed three incredible nights at Hotel Casbah Mohayut. We spent two nights in the private riad just behind the hotel, at the foot of the dunes. We then traveled by camel to the private royal tent in the dunes. From start to finish, everything was the ultimate in luxury.

The staff was always available for our every request and the food was delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed a trip into the desert with Moha, where we purchased groceries, needed supplies and some treats for local nomad families. Afterward, he planned a lovely picnic lunch under the shade of an old tree.

Hotel Kasbah Mohayut is THE PLACE for your trip to Merzouga and an authentic Sahara desert experience.

This accommodation is so lovely. It has a sprawling area with so many nooks and crannies to hang out. Multiple level rooftop terraces with a direct view of the sand dunes. The sand dunes are so close you can walk right to them to watch the sunset/sunrise, within minutes. Nice pool. Excellent food. The staff were so wonderful, especially the young man at the front desk. They organized a camel ride at sunset which I recommend. Overall this was one of our favorite accommodations in our Morocco stay. Thanks from Canada!

This place is great. Lots of charming books and crannies and staff who really can’t do enough for you. Lovely pool area and the place is very clean. Dinner was nice, I wasn’t especially impressed with breakfast but that might be because I’ve been eating the same thing, more or less, for two weeks! The only reason I haven’t given this place five out of five is that there are some areas of the hotel which feel a bit unfinished, such as the area outside our room (26) where the floor and courtyard weren’t complete.

We stayed here during our months road trip around Morocco. Check out our blog for more details of the places we’ve stayed. We were in a motorhome so having a hotel for a couple of nights was a welcome break. This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the dunes. You can see them from the rooftop bar and rake a walk into them too. The pool is beautiful the whole hotel is amazing. The food was good in the evenings including the vegetarian alternatives for my husband. The safe were great too. One thing: the lunch can be quite slow (food u Is often slow in Morocco so this isn’t unusual!) as the kitchen isn’t constantly manned so just give them an hour, I’d order pre being hungry. 🙂.

The staff couldn't have been better. Good English and very helpful. We stayed in the Dune House and were right up against the dunes. We did the overnight desert camping and camel ride to the camp. Unless you are terrified of animals do the camel trip to the desert camp. It is fun and Ali the camel man was exceptional. The camp is definitely glamping. You will be spoiled even if you aren't a camper.
I recommend the Hotel Mohayut without any hesitation
