We are a young couple, who were travelling the country for 3 weeks. The middle of our trip was in merzouga at Kasbah Azalay! First of all, we arrived late at night and they had someone for us waiting at the bus station. We were starving when we arrived and were served delicious food ! Youssef one of the owners... More

The Sahara Desert was top of my 'bucket list' and this place really delivered. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted. They took time to sit with us on the first day and helped us plan how to make the most of our trip. We ended up packing quad biking in the... More

Kasbah Azalay is the place to stay when going to Merzouga! Ahmid and the other hosts were great! The food they provide is just amazing, being in the pool looking at the dunes is unforgettable and the experience in the Dunes of Sahara was epic! I would definitely recommend it to my friends!

I've been to the Kasbah Azalay in march to spend a night in the desert of Merzouga and it's really really nice ! When you arrive, you leave at camel (or 4*4 but it's less funny) after 1 hour you arrive to the camp, only few tents. You have a great diner, tea... and after our guide made fire camp... More

What a brilliant stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, nice and welcoming. The rooms, - massive and nicely decorated. The location, - perfect. On the edge of the village and the desert, just right for those magical sunsets. Highly recommended.

This was meant to be the pivotal point of our road trip from Marrakech to the Sahara We arrived in a awful sandstorm and within seconds of arriving we where made to feel very unwelcome , my friend and the guy at reception started to have a argument and then he turned his attention to me and aimed his anger... All in all, this 5 year old hotel is decent value with great service. Some of the staff spoke excellent English (and more) and was genuinely concerned about our stay. The meal they prepared was excellent as well. The poolside seemed appealing but we didn't use it. The shower pressure was iffy and the toilet bowl was rocky, but we're... More

The best part of this experience are the people that run it, they couldn't be more friendly, always with a smile on their faces! The rooms are tastefully decorated, dinning on the patio takes you to another space and time and the desert overnight is amazing. Fantastic experience!

Looking out of our bedroom window at first you see the dunes of the Sahara up close, changing its colors all day. Next you see the swimming pool and the beautiful terraces everywhere where you can have breakfast, lunch etc. Inside there is a big comfortable lounge, berber-style, but cosy with overall good wifi. We enjoyed our two-day+ stay here.... More
