This experience was the highlight of our trip. The tents are very comfortable with separate shower and toilet. The lighting is dim but for one night it was fine. The camel ride to see the sunset was fabulous - what a unique experience. We were entertained by musicians and acrobatics when we first arrived from the sunset ride and during... More

Ride your camel, then come to this wonderful camp. The tents are great, the food and staff were what made the night. Loved the feeling of being out in the open. The Desert never felt so real. However - not many of the other guests appreciated my snoring - very thing walled tents.

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our desert adventure. At first we were a bit skeptical because upon arrival we were not made to feel very welcome. Once our camel ride was initiated everything fell into place. Our camels were led by a great fellow, Mohammed. He was kind, sweet and made sure we enjoyed our experience. Our sunset... More

Talk about being in the middle of nowhere. Stars were incredible. Very nice accommodations although it was 32"degrees outside overnight. They provided 4 heavy blankets and a hot water bottle. Bathroom in tent was adequate, water was freezing in the sink. One flashlight. We had a good dinner in the main tent, with a fire pit and appetizers outside before.... More

Everything was stolen from our bags and wallets! We came to the hotel expecting a great Sahara experience but we left with empty pockets. Everyone told us it was very safe despite the fact that anyone can go into your tent (hence the lack of security boxes to deposit valuables, they say). We stayed at the luxury tents, private tent... Everything went wrong, we got our wallets robbed and we never heard back from the hotel. Terrible customer service, no one took responsibility or even apologized for the awful incident. Not recommended for anyone! Don't go, terrible place!

I would rate this evening with a billion stars since that's how many we saw. Our night at this upscale tent was an extraordinary experience and one that will stay in our memories forever. The tent is high-end and only has three sleeping rooms (tents). We arrived by camel and found that we were the only guests that night so... More

We came here because we were interested in getting into the Sahara and seeing something of the desert, as we had done with other deserts in other countries. The term 'Bivouac' describes the camp very well...you stay in a Berber-like tent with a reasonably comfortable bed and with rather primitive but still workable toilet, shower and sink within the tent.... If you are not a big camper, this is definitely the way to go! You won't have your marble bathrooms, but you do have a full bathroom with hot water which definitely gets you clean after traveling all day. The toliets are not camping toliets, but flushing toliets and very clean. The tents are "haimas" made up of camel skin... More

How can you review an experience like this? We were picked up from the Xaluca Kasbah in the late afternoon (it is too hot earlier) and driven into the Sahara - as simple as that. After about half an hour of driving over a desert landscape we were met by a team of Berbers with their camels. We were introduced... More
