We stayed for 3 nights during our tour from Tangier to the Sahara. I can honestly say without doubt this was a class above. Mobarek the owner is in a class of his own. The style, facilities, hospitality and food is amazing. See the desert and experience true Moroccan hospitality. Mobarek will provide the best tours around. Visit the tree... More

Still conserving their tradition with some extras to comfort everyone, there hospitality has made this our main stopping place to do our solidarity raids in the area with the help of Mobarek as II have said before I know since he was a young 11 year old lad.

I was able to spend a decent amount of time at Auberge Takojt, and I can one hundred percent vouch for its quality. A lot of hotels and kasbahs in the area claim to be located "right on the dunes", but Takojt really is. From the auberge it's just a short walk over scree to the start of the Erg... More

The experience at the auberge is solid, all around, with good food, friendly, reliable staff who are all from the local area, meaning you have the opportunity for some nice insight into the culture. I did the 3-hour (each way) trek into the desert berber camp and have a new-found respect for people who use camels as transportation... Just make... More

We visited Auberge Takojt in early October. It was above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The staff were hospitable and attentive. The food was amazing. We really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful evenings of listening to the guys play their traditional Berber music. We took the camel ride out to the oasis and stayed there for a night,... More

I've writen a review early this year, where I sad that this was an excellent option to visit the sahara, me and my family loved it. We had amazing food, and the scenery was divine. I will strongly recommend this place. The breakfast was the best food we had in whole Morroco. In my previous review I mentioned an incident... More

We went there for 1 night. We were the only one in the only since it was low season.Very weird welcoming to the hotel by a guy who asked us twice the price of what we booked on Booking.com until he realises that he was giving us the rate for 2 nights instead of 1! basically he had no idea what... My friend and I returned to Auberge Takojt in March, a year after our first visit, with high expectations - and we were not disappointed. The hotel's welcoming exterior beckoned to us like open arms, and once inside we quickly settled in to familiar, comfortable surroundings. The hotel's owner, Mobarek, is personally invested in the quality of every guest's experience,... More

We met many wonferful people during our stay in Morocco but Marie and her staff were by far among the very best. The auberge itself is lovely but the real treat of our trip was spending the night in the auberge's private camp in a tree amid the dunes. The food was wonderful and the full moon and stars at...
