We got to the hotel after watching the sunset in the sand dunes. It is a surreal experience. The tents are mounted over concrete, so you are not sleeping on the sand. We spent a winter night there, and the camel hair blankets are warm and cozy. The tent has bathroom and shower and you can stay warm at all times with the extra blankets, robes and fuzzy sleepers.
Everyone is friendly, dinner is very authentic and there is music by the fireplace afterwards.
Overall, one of those experiences that will never be forgotten. All 3 generations in our group loved the experience!

Wonderful experience in the Sahara desert. You must experience the camel
Ride to the camp. Beautiful views from the camel and a stop to watch the sunset
Really made the beginning of the experience fantastic. We were greats to the camp
With some wonderful Morocco tea and cookies. The tents were nicely appointed and
Comfortable. We were served a very tasty traditional morrocian tagline and salad
For dinner. We listened to traditional music by a roaring fire under a full moon with
So many stars I. The sky. After a good nights sleep we had a scrumptious breakfast
With coffee the next morning.. you could take the camel ride back in the morning if
You wanted to. Loved the experience .

We had a lovely time with Sahara star camp, camel ride was fun, tents are gorgeous, beds are super comfortable, food was very good. My husband is vegetarian and they were able to accommodate him quite well with delicious food. The breakfasts were plenty. The showers were clean. We felt very good and well taken care of. The hospitality was amazing. everyone there was very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this Sahara star camp.

The owner of this camp did not provide us with the accommodation that our tour operator sold us and that we paid for. We paid for the luxury camp. The camp we were sent to was an inferior camp. The owner told us he was giving us the best luxury camp which was completely false. He claimed he sent another group from Hong Kong to the other camp that he referred to as not as nice, as they were loud.
We showed our tour operator/driver pictures of the camp we were sent to and it was confirmed that we did not receive what was advertised and paid for. Our tour operator has obtained a refund.
There were only 3 other couples and yet the owner claimed to be so busy. ???
The other part of this horrible experience was our camel ride to the camp. We already knew it would take about 35 minutes riding, maybe an hour allowing for pictures. We rode for 90 minutes due to a major sand storm just as we were departing. They saw it coming and still put us at risk. It was awful. Sand in our eyes, ears & nostrils, hanging on for dear life. After about an hour, we finally saw four others, one who told us he had fallen off his camel.
Be very careful if you choose this camp. Buyer beware! Check the photos on the site. Friends of ours had been a year ago so we knew immediately that the owner did not provide us with the accommodation we had paid for. Nor did he care about our safety.

We had an amazing experience at the camp. Everything was just perfect, from the camel ride through the desert at sunset to tasty dinner and campfire under the starry sky. The camp is beautiful, designed with huge rugs and pillows to sit at. Tents are great and well equipped with everything you need for the night. Hassan the owner organized the ATV ride for us in the morning and this was one of the best experiences we ever had. Thank you lots! 😊

I’m sitting here on my last day in Merzouga desert, drinking coffee and just thought about the amazing camp experience I’ve had the past couple days and nights.

We first arrived by a camel ride directly to the camp. It was clean, beautiful and most importantly the staff was amazing. Mohamed was so accommodating, he is fluent in 5 languages and attentive to every need.

The first night we had the most romantic dinner outside. I think we had about 50 candles for the two of us since we were lucky to have a perfect set up. The food was well prepared especially the tagine.

There was hot water, nice amenities which exceeded the expectations of a camp in the desert.

I can say it was not a four seasons or ritz Carlton, but it will be a longer lasting memory and experience

I recommend to the highest level and wish others can have such a magical experience.

Wonderful camel ride. Stopped for sunset view before we reached the camp. They even helped us to snap great pics and videos...making our trip to be even a more memorable one. The camp was excellent. Food was marvellous. Friendly and helpful staff. But because we were at the camp in December, it was so cold. So glad that the blanket was thick enough to keep us warm. Would have been better if the tent had heater. The ride on 4x4 back to our car the next morning was a great extra. Superb holiday.

We enjoyed our night in the desert. When we arrived in the afternoon it was very hot in the tent, but by the evening - it was a comfortable temperature for sleeping. The sunset camel ride was fantastic with amazing photos to cherish. However, I'm still finding sand in my suitcase LOL. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
