Our one night stay was just too short. Amine and his wife are truly the most gracious hosts we have come across. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food was the best we tasted in Moroco and we stayed at some very expensive hotels,. The quality of care and service were outstanding. This place get 5+ stars in my opinion. My son and my husband wanted to bring the Chef home. We travel a great deal and can't say enough about the quality of service and the quality of food that was provided.
The rain did not dampen our spirit for a moment, the magic of Chefchaouen and the warmth and beauty of Lina Ryad and Spa was wonderful. We were well cared for by the host Amine, his lovely wife Ouafae and their attentative staff. The facilities are beautiful, the rose bath was divine and the treatments very pleasant and a great way to pass the time when too much rain kept us indoors. For a special occasion or any occasion really, treat yourself for a stay.
Stunning views. Luxurious. Intimate. Perfection. Amine and Ouafae have spent five years building the riad and you can tell how much love and attention has gone into every detail. From the sweeping Moroccan arches to the blue accents to compliment the local attraction to the argan soap with dried flowers greeting you in your room. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food prepared by Leila, who may be the happiest chef I have ever met with a smile brimming from ear to ear, was the best food we had in Morocco. It was traditional food with a modern twist of elegance. My mouth is watering right now thinking about the flavors she captured in each dish. Be sure to ask for the eggplant! Nihad, Khalissa, and Bahija were the most attentive and friendly staff. They would…
We had to cut our stay short since the trip back to Casablanca took longer than anticipated (6 hours). The hotel was extremely accommodating in permitting us to cancel the second day without penalty and the price overall was very reasonable. This hotel is well situated in the City Medina and everything is accessible on foot. Be sure to hike up to the mosque in the hills for a breathtaking vista of this city.
We didn't stay in the hotel but did visit the spa for services. The owner speaks perfect English as he had lived in the US many years ago. The spa is sparkling clean with a lovely pool to soak in. The hamman experience was great. We were advised by our hotel that the local traditional hamman in ChefChaouen wasn't clean by western standards and suggested we try this new spa that had just opened. Besides the experience of a good scrub by Baisha I also had a massage and facial by Areceli which was wonderful!!! Had I known how wonderful this is I would have arranged to visit a spa in the beginning of the trip as well as at the end. I highly recommend a visit to ChefChaouen and whether or not you stay at this hotel I suggest you treat yourself to a little pampering here.
