Worth the climb. A wonderful small hotel (17 rooms), that is more than comfortable. Situated in the middle of "The Blue Rif city." Picturesque, and super, super friendly staff. My wife loved the massage. We both loved the cuisine.

The hotel was nothing spectacular. The main advantage is the great location (inside the Medina, and right next to the main plaza and shops). However there are many hotels in the same area. Our main complaint is regarding the service at breakfast, they served us breakfast in the reception area because there was no more space in the dinning area, when we pointed out there was indeed an empty table they refused us to serve us there because it was too small (it wasn’t.. no idea why they would have a table they refuse to use), even after everyone was done with breakfast and all the tables were available they still made us have breakfast in the reception, we were surrounded by luggage and a big group that was checking out, it was very awkward and uncomfortable. The breakfast was again nothing spectacular: bread, coffee and juice (Some other places also served eggs for example).

We spent 2 night at this riad, it is lovely, people are very polite and the rooms are beautiful. Not too big but nice, the colors are amazing. Their breakfast is delicious with a large variety of breads, jellies, sauces, orange juice, and all the traditional moroccan sweets. The young lady at breakfast is very attentive and has a great personality. This Riad is very closed to the main Plaza and the Alkazaba, the plaza is great, music at night, stores, restaurants, etc. Full of people and action!!! I need to mention that this Riad is very close to the mosque so you could hear very very early in the morning praying for about 40 mins, at least from our room. We love Chefchaouen - and we had a great time in this Riad Assilah -- Thank you

This Riad has a really good location just inside the medina. Our room and bathroom were pleasant and clean. Breakfast is served on the ground floor level in an internal room and is mainly bread/wheat based. There's plenty of it but no fruit or yoghurt. The owners are friendly and helped out ringing our agent and also lending me a phone charger. One thing I didn't like, as an animal lover, is the squirrel that they keep in a cage in reception and that you have to see all the time.

The hot water is unreliable. It only give warm water, but not hot. When the staff come to my room, he said it is normal. Give it another 15 minutes. 16 minutes, water still only warm. The room and service just not worth the money paid. Also, the the room is just beside the street. You can hear everybody talking along the street. Be aware when book in this hotel. I am not recommend this.
