For me Perhentian is paradise and even though it's an expensive place in Malaysia, I can't simply miss it. Its cristal clear waters with its amazing life is something that has to be observed, respected and enjoyed fully. So if you want to come and keep it on your budget D'Lagoon is perfect. My boyfriend and I arrived there with... More

The place is located in front of a beautiful isolated beach, just a few minutes away from another two amazing beaches. Snorkelling there is always great. The bungalows are nice but pretty basic and you cannot be surprised if you meet small animals inside. The view of the sea is beautiful and the bed comfy enough. I would recommend getting... More

We had a good time at D'lagoon. The accomodation is basic, the meals are very good, staff is very friendly although communication is sometimes a little bit harder when you're not Malay (they still do their best to speak English). The location is very nice on a little private beach where snorkeling is nice (prepare to see lots of fish... More

Beautiful place. Had great time snorkeling in rock garden at turtle beach, close to nature. Good value for money. Stuff is friendly and simple. Had great holiday, stayed there for 2 weeks. To get there you'd have to catch a water taxi, was totally worth it

A friend and i were backpacking around Malaysia in August 2015. Was so excited to see the Perhentian islands and we wanted to stay away from busy areas so we thought D'lagoon would be a perfect secluded experience. Wrong. It was terrible from check in. The staff are extremely rude and lack basic people skills & customer service. We felt... More

We stayed here recently for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff are really nice and friendly as is their adorable pet Bam Bam. We were taken out snorkeling and saw so many beautiful fish and some (harmless) reef sharks right on the reef outside the hotel! We also did two fun dives with them (we are both... More

I arrived to the area at 10:30 and ask for a room. They told me that they cannot show me the rooms until 12:30, but that both options (room and dormitory) were available. When the time comes, they showed me just the room, giving me a higher price and saying that the dormitory was now full ( when nobody else... More
