A remote but nice place in Perhentian Islands. We had some trouble finding nice accommodation in perhentian islands. Everything was overpriced or was fully booked. When we arrived in Perhentian we didn’t book anything because everything was occupied (two weeks upfront) according to booking.com, agoda etc. We looked for accommodation on the island but couldn’t find anything so we decided... Nice little private resort, dorm rooms are basics but they to the job, Toilets aren't great, definitely bring your own toilet paper. Nice walk to the other side of the island, plenty empty beaches near by. The owner is abit odd but has a friendly pet otter called Bambam

After 2 (rough and overpriced) nights in long Beach, we headed up to the more secluded D Lagoon. We were met by friendly staff, a drop-dead incredible location, and good food! The room was cleaner and nicer than the other places, cheaper, and came with its own bathroom (for 90RM a night). Wi-Fi was available in the common area, as... More

This is probably one of the best place to stay in the Perhentians. I mean pricewise and if you're looking for peace and quiet instead of party! It offers great beach and snorkeling is also amazing! The owner when i was there was really nice as well!

My friend and I had not booked any hotels prior to visiting Perhentian because it was all sold out due to the peak season. We managed to grab a room at D'lagoon which was a double room with shared bathroom. The price is very reasonable as the room is extremely basic. I would have hoped the shared bathroom would have... I hated my first day there. The staff seemed unfriendly, the dorm crowded and hot, and the ordering system in the restaurant is just bizarre! However, I stuck around because it was such a beautiful island and it's hard to get in and out of D'Lagoon because it's so remote. Eventually the staff warmed to me and the ordering system... More

Best place to stay in whole perhentian, by far. Good food, good snorkelling, nice staff and amazing atmosphere! We saw a turtle on turtle beach near the lagoon, great experience! And the gekko in the batroom was a nice friend in our room.

I can't agree with the bad comments... We stayed 9 days at d'lagoon. After beeing everywhere in kecil, it is the best place to stay. Very quiet (even in the cheapest room not isolated where you can heard everybody around you in other rooms), clean rooms (don't leave food in your room because of animals, you can put that at... I really did not like this place. It is not very clean, nothing seems to be repaired when needed, the staff is not friendly ( except for the young niece who studies in london and is very helpful), you can be shouted at if you ever forget to take off your shoes before entering the restaurant...the food is ok. I... More

I stayed at d'lagoon for two nights in a private room. Those were the cheapest (50rm, dorm 25 Rm). You can also stay in a private hut (rm80). Bring a mosquitonet! They rent them out for 3rm a night, but I had my own and it was neccesary. The room had no luxe, you can hear everybody in the rooms... More
