Stayed for 5 days in the Garden Villa which was lovely with good showering water pressure and we had privacy away from the noise of the bass music. The garden Villa also have an outdoor shower and outdoor tap in its own grounds for rinse off before entering villa. The BBQ selection of squid and Grouper which comes with grilled potato and salad was delicious with its special sauce. Squid and fish was perfectly grilled compared to the other stalls along the beach. The tiramisu was tasty with portion size enough for 2 pax. Happy hour is strictly 5pm to 6pm and with a variety of alcoholic , mocktails and soft drinks. It comes with a some peanuts and canape to enjoy the sunset hour before heading back for a shower prior to dinner. Shoutout to the Bubu Villa crew whom are indeed hardworking and cheerful although working long hours and Lili the Receptionist was very attentive. A small suggestion is that It would be nicer if the staff could wear badge with their names for easier reference. Overall, it was one of best chillaxing staycations during this year.

Here's to areas of improvement required for the hefty price travelers paid to stay here 1. Check-in Time - We booked two villas and had to wait for check in up tile 15:30-16:00, when check-in time is expected at 14:00 2. Food bill clearance - waiter seemed to rush on the bills clearance, to make sure we pay our food bill. This indicates that your staffs are worried if we dont clear our bills. if we could afford to stay at Bubu, means we could afford to settle our bills too 3. I've enquired the front desk lady about complimentary boat service to Turtle beach in opposite in Perhentian Besar whether we are entitled to the same privilege as indicated in the infocard available in the Villa as well, her response was she's not sure and suggested me to check with Bubu Marketing team. I dont think she deserve to be a front desk if she can't answer simple question like this. 4. Dusty room - please ensure dust is cleaned on the table before checkin. 5. Overall experience, there's seem to be double standard on level of service provided between Foreign travelers vs local travelers - this should NOT happen because everyone pays the same price and expected to have the same levels of service. Additionally, I feel my past experience with Bubu Resort is much better if were to compare with recent experience in Bubu Villa, especially when it comes to the levels of service provided

The staff were very helpful and hospitable - we enjoyed the arranged activities; sunset cruise, secret beach BBQ, and snorkeling. The villa accommodation was spacious, private, clean and modern. The water was blue and the beach was soft white sand - great trip!

Disappointed initially as on the website, the pictures looked as if the villas were exclusive and quiet. Surprised to find that the place was squashed in between a strip of about 15 hotels. We thought we would have a villa facing out to the sea but discovered it was behind the restaurant and a short fence. No sea view! However we settled in and the room was very spacious and comfortable. There were a few mosquitoes at sunset. Open air bathroom and shower (which i took some time to get used to). Food was really great - 5 star standard - delicious and well presented. That probably was the only thing which comforted us after the initial disappointment. Staff were fairly pleasant - though they were not very knowledgeable. Prices for snorkelling trips/ water taxis were double what you could get at the small locally run stalls dotted along the beach. Spa - was situated just behind the reception - very noisy with people talking in the restaurant and the juice blender constantly whirring. A bit hot as it was just fans and no aircon. However the male masseuse, Jason, was really good (though i had preferred a female). Oh... and the beach bar next door was playing music till 2am (Friday and Sat night) and since i was a light sleeper - i didn't sleep well. If i had to stay on Long Beach again, yes i would choose Bubu Villa (but would choose the more secluded and isolated Garden villa) but would i go to Long Beach again ? No, as i find it too congested and full of people.
