We stayed in this property as I had booked a diving package with Panorama Divers (see separate review). I was well aware before arriving that the property was very basic and targeted to low budget travellers. That's normally not a problem for me, indeed some great hotels are basic. Unfortunately in this case it was clear that the management had... More

First off, electricity is limited to 6pm-8am the next morning. No power is available the rest of the time. I took a twin share chalet with fan, thought we'd get two single beds but ended up with a double bed. The bed was old and creaky with worn out mattress and sheets. The floor of the chalet needs repairing, serious... More

Facilities are pretty old. Staff sounded a bit blur. Maybe they weren't confident with their English? Toilet did not have any tissues. Had to buy a roll for RM2 at the convenient store. =/ Remember to use insect repellant before you sleep. There may be a lot of mosquitoes around. At least it's cooling at night. Food is not included... More

We visited over the national holiday so we did expect it to be expensive ... But 50MYR a night for a bed in a dorm room of 30 seemed to push it a bit. I guess that they can afford to charge that much over the peak season, but in comparison to the amazing accom we got elsewhere in Malaysia... More

The Panorama Chalets is a great place to stay if you are a cash strapped back packer wanting to make their way round the world they do great deals with dive packages, so should you want to do your Open Water/Advanced/Rescue qualifications or just have some fun dives, I think you get a bed in the dorm in with the... We stayed here because of the package deal with Panorama Divers, which is a great dive shop. The accommodation however is not only basic, but dirty (cockroaches in the room) and old. The food in the restaurant is ok, but sometimes you have to wait for ages for simple meals like fried rice. The same goes for the breakfast buffet,... More

We booked a dive package here but on arrival one of the dive instructors told us if it's bad we can move. Thank god we did. We booked a private bathroom double room and the moment we walked in we were disgusted. It was the most over priced place I've ever seen, it just lives off the dive shops reputation.... More

We stayed here as part of the package deal with the panorama dive school and we were quick to check out! We were told the room was basic and didn't expect much but I can't begin to explain how much of a s***hole the place really was!! If we could give it a zero or minus rating we certainly would!... Reading the negative reviews, I was hesitant about staying here, but since it was included in the dive package, took a leap of faith (plus lazy to walk from other accommodation to dive center). Went in with really low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was basic but clean enough. Bed was comfortable and bath towels, while... More

Booked 2 nights here in a private fan chalet with ensuite as we also booked dives in their dive shop so thought it would be easier. The price for accommodation was higher than our usual budget but it's an island so that's normal. The room however, was the dirtiest room I've seen after 4 months in Asia! There were visible...
