This is a pretty decent hotel, and is also quite reasonably priced given its quality. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The services and free facilities such as the gym and sauna will make your stay enjoyable. The pool is very nice too. You can also get a free wifi. Only slight disadvantage is its location - while not...

I stayed here at the end of a tour and was very pleased with everything. The lobby is airy with a bar off it and there is a nice pool area. I only had one dinner, in the all day restaurant, as well as breakfast. The room was adequate, though not lavish. The location is on a hillside away from...

Recently we spent 2 nights at the Sabah Hotel in Sandakan. We were really disappointed, the rooms were smallish and the room appeared unclean. There were filthy marks on the wall in the bathroom around the toilet roll holder and the towels were very discoloured...they were supposed to be white. We were not supplied with face flannels and no hair...

I stayed here for 1 night last week whilst sightseeing around the Sandakan area. The hotel was very welcoming, the room was big (2 large double beds and they happily brought in an extra single bed for not much more money). The room was clean, nice bathroom, and really comfy bedding. There was a nice lounge bar where were had...

What an interesting little hotel! I chose this hotel for my family (me, husband and a 12, 14 and 15 year old). We had 2 rooms which interconnected and the hotel provided a very comfortable rollaway bed for a small extra charge for the 3rd teenager. There are not a lot of great hotels in the area and this seemed...

We stayed at the Sabah Hotel for three nights. The hotel seems to be the best in the area, however there doesn't seem to be much competition... We stayed in an executive suite, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The room was clean and air conditioned, but it was fairly basic and had no view. I understand the rooms...

We stayed just the one night en route to the Kinabatangan river and we thought it a very good stay. The room was very comfortable with a good bed, nice linen, and a fabulous view over the jungle. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only comment would be that the nature trail in the grounds was "temporarily closed",...

We booked this hotel through expedia and paid £34 for a double room with breakfast per night. We stayed in the Borneo Wing in a large room with good sized bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely pool. Good breakfast. Great location for exploring Sepilok, Proboscis sanctuary and the Sandakan memorial. We had a hire car so very easy...

We checked in and were immediately told that there was no room avaialble with a double, despite our request befoehand. I said, no problem, we can just move the two twins together, they responded that the beds are bolted to the floor. I insisted on a solution and they eventually agreed, albeit in a surly way, to give us a...

This is the biggest hotel in Sandakan..been staying there whenever I visit Sandakan. The rooms are comfortable especially those facing the jungle area. When it rains (Sandakan has heavy downpour), it feels like in the rainforest jungle. I like that they have nice table for makeup and all. They have free wifi but you have to request for login id...
