The 'resort' is placed in a beautiful place in the jungle, 5 min walking to the sanctuary. The various areas of the hotel are linked by bridges over a lake and the all scenery is beautiful. However, the place is run down and had seen...More
Easy walk to the Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Center but the hotel is in disrepair. Very friendly staff. The room felt clean. The hallway had an unpleasant smell. The bed linens used to be white, but are now stained and dingy grey in color. We booked...More
Our first impression was are we really paying so little for so much ?
The rooms were perfect with balcony that looked out over jungle. The house keeping staff came in everyday and made beds, changed towels (if necessary) and replaced complimentary drinking water.

To whom do you address this "question"? Travelers who have stayed at Sepilok Jungle Resort, or management of the property? If you are addressing it to me as someone who stayed at the resort, I have to agree with Steve W. What are you talking about? Instead of challenging ME to warn people about the dangers...why don't YOU do it? I never saw any Orang utans at the pool or anywhere else on the property. If I did, I would not have tried to feed them or cuddle with them, but I don't know that I would have run away in fear, either.
So if there are dangers and attendant warnings that you think should be issued, please proceed.
