We stayed 2 nights here whilst on our honeymoon in September, and had a brilliant time. You can only get there by boat so it feels really cut off despite the fact that it has some great modern amenities - the rooms all have air-con! All the staff are so friendly, the food they serve is delicious, and the rooms...

A fab spot in the jungle 2 hours drive from Sandakan. Staff are fantastic and friendly especially Vincent! Accommodation is basic and beds are hard ( not good if you suffer from bad back) . the 3 boat trips were great. The food is average at best but to come out of cabin at 3.30pm and see monkeys running round...

Spent 2 superb nights at the lodge. We had been looking to staying there for sometime and I was not disappointed to say the least. We were greeted by Walter, manager, upon arrival, however, only saw him occasionally for the remainder of our stay. The cabins were basic but well appointed with rainforest all around. It was a pleasure to...

If you want an experience where you are truly away from civilisation this is the place to visit - it can only be reached by boat. The wildlife that you'll see in and around the lodge is great with Proboscis monkeys, macaques, orang-utans, crocs and elephants on the must find list. The accommodation and food is good if limited but...

The "3 day 2 night" trip is something of a misnomer - you arrive late afternoon the first day and leave after breakfast on the 3rd. Even still, its probably the right amount of time to spend at Kinabatangan river. It's an amazing place - teeming with wildlife. 100% chance of seeing proboscis monkeys, macaques, silver leaf monkeys and monitor...

Booking went smoothly. Staff in the office as well as at the lodge was very friendly and flexible. Rooms had aircon. Buffet had a choice of different foods and was like in the other lodges at the river. We were not very lucky on our boat cruises as it rained a lot and the guide did not find any wildlife...

We stayed here for one night as Sukau Rainforest Lodge, who our tour and subsequent accommodation was booked with, had no availability on our first night at the time of booking. Therefore we can't comment on the tours offered by Borneo Nature Lodge. However, we had a very warm reception from all the staff and in no way felt we...

We stayed here for 3 days and although the rooms are fairly basic they are clean and the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water for showers. The meals are a buffet self service but these consisted of a starter (soup) choice of 2 or 3 main dishes with rice and noodles and a dessert and fruit....

We stayed 2 nights and 3 days as part of a larger trip and had such a fantastic time. During the many trips out during the day organised by Borneo trails, tours & travel, we saw so much wildlife, from orangutans to crocodiles, elephants to endless monkeys. The boats are never filled to the brim but 4 per boat which...

Lovely spot on the river, and the guides and river tours were really good. Lots of wild life. The setting is very nice, and monkeys come out of the woods (literally) early in the morning and play all over the paths and the roofs. Very entertaining. Now for the BAD bits...... we were there as part of a tour group...
