Salang Sayang is located at the edge of the Salang beach which is by far the nicest part in my opinion. It's super beautiful and the water is crystal clear. Snorkeling from the beach is easy and impressive. The food at the resort is a bit pricy and average. There are better restaurants on the island. The rooms were fine... More

I don't know how some of the reviews say this is the best resort on this part of the island. Yes, it's a beachfront and yes it sits on the best part of the beach and is fairly quiet but the room was horrible.i don't ask for much, just a clean and safe room but the room was not even... More

Salang village is a single paved path that goes north and south from the jetty at which the ferries arrive. To get to Salang Sayang, turn left from the jetty and continue for 10mins as far as the path goes and you are there. Being at the end of the path, there is no 'through traffic' of people walking to... More

Stayed with friends and family in their "super deluxe executive whatever" rooms. Terrible staff and terrible service, never had a meal where we got what we ordered. Food was awful. Staff oftener shouted at guests to not hassle them with complex tasks such as "ordering food". Resort itself is falling to pieces. No room service, no one ever came to... More

I booked a family room and banana hill room. The family room is on beach, quite convenient, for banana hill room one has to walk pass some staircase and the aircon in room is the very old style which produces a lot of noise. Basically, food in salang is considered quite expensive, not many choices either, however if u snorkel in... More

We booked this at short notice, and enjoyed it immensely. It couldn't be closer to the beach than it is, the food was basic Malay but good and the staff very friendly. My wife had been there 12 years previously and reckoned it was pretty much unchanged. Great spot for a lazy few days.

We were staying at Salang Sayang for 4 nights and we liked our stay. First 2 nights we stayed at honey moon suite and then change to banana hill room. We liked both rooms but the fact is that expensier room is not that much better than cheaper. So on that part you can save happily. Resort logated on best... More

We loved it, the view and proximity to beach is fabulous and they are so friendly. The food is great and you don't have to swim far to snorkel and see amazing fish, turtles, coral, sting ray etc! The price is great for the rooms, but just remember, you get what you pay for, so if you you're expecting 5... More

Salang Sayang is budget accommodation providing the basics. We stayed in a fan cooled bungalow overlooking a beautiful beach. The feel is definitely relaxed, great for timeout. Sitting on the verandah, beach or at the restaurant it's a great place to unwind. Bungalows could do with updating and towels definitely need replacing but these are easily made up for by... More

We decided to go for a short getaway from work and hectic city life. We definitely got what we needed. Very basic necessities are provided for travellers. Perhaps being city dwellers, we are a little upset with the toilet condition. It can definitely be improved. The village environment was something that we were looking forward to. The locals are very... More
