We stayed for three nights before we couldn't stand it any longer and moved to one of the other resorts down the beach. The price is now 45RM per night with no amenities whatsoever, not even the light in the bathroom was working. Holes in the floor and walls, the place is dilapidated. There is no laundry service or safe...

Best location on Tioman, realy nice huts although the the bathroom can use some upgrading, but he, it is cheap. There's a Man from New Zealand, dave, that can provide some good tips. The owner is trying to do his best te keep the place in the nice condition it is in right now

Stayed for five days in a hut. Every hut is 1 bedroom and one bathroom, very basic but still nice and clean. Big double bed with mosquito net. The best thing about this place is the location and the owner Louie. It's located at the far north end of Salang, away from all the commotion around the jetty, but still...

I staid at saland hut for 4 days (3 nights), coming from Singapore. Wonderfull place to have some rests... The rooms are basics, but each are unique thanks to decorations, and the "confort" you don't have is hugelly compensate by the quietness of the place and the promximity with the nature!!! The owner Louis, is very warm and helpful, you...

I spent almost a week at Salang Hut, and I felt regenerated. The huts are basic and just between the jungle and the beach, in a very quite spot of Salang, it makes you feel really in contact with the amazing nature here. The company and the service that Louis offered also helped to make my stay here one of...

The rooms are at the bottom end of the price range. The place has clearly been much loved in the past and it is a nice spot at the north end of the beach under the trees. However the rooms are in a state of decay and require a great deal of attention and repair. Of the 10 or 12...

Me and my friends stayed at Salang Hut for 3 days.. and the place was good and away from the crowd, but a bit far from the business centre. Pak Bakar, the owner of Salang Hut is a nice man and you dont have to rush to pay the room rental. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there at Salang. :)

Salang huts were a fantastic find - we were only going to stay for a few days and ended up staying nearly 2 weeks! We loved just about everything about the place - and whiled away many an hour watching the wildlife from our balcony. As for Louis, what a beautiful person with a fantastic heart - he even decorated...
