We stayed at Libertalia for 3 nights and we regret not having more time to spend there. They have very nice and clean bungalows, whith a great view of the ocean. They have an infinity pool and a deck which goes out to the rock. They have sunbeds, hammocks and swings. The staff is very nice and more professional than...

Dear Cristina D, Thank you for this thousand stars review, it is very kind of you. All staff is very happy to hear that your stay here in Libertalia was a great experience. We look forward to see you again here with sun, sunset, cocktail, and why not with whales in July, August and September. Respect regards.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, good beds compared to other hotels. But the best thing is the view you can sit in front of your room searching for the whales. The restaurant serves good food and again sea view. The owner runs the whale watching trips and it is very much recommended to book the tours at this hotel....

We had a lovely time for 6 days at Libertalia. The rooms were located right on the beach, service was good. The staff were very very helpful and sweet. Whale watching for us was ok. It was quite cold, rainy and windy but we did see whales. We saw great whale watching right from the restaurant! I would definitely recommend...

The best place I stayed in Madagascar. The bungalows are very nice, built using palm leaves and are very cozy with nice architecture. Food was excellent and you can easily find other nice restaurant in the area (Bord d'Eau). Try the house massage! It's awesome! The room maids are very good, arranging the bed twice a day (for the mosquito...

You visit Nosy Boraha to watch the whales who visit between late June and early September to sort a series of family matters. Most hotels are on the West coast and rooms overlook the sea to the rain forest beyond. Libertalia has most rooms bungalows on the waterfront and the sound of the waves is most relaxing. The service is...

Africa is not known for great service, particularly in remote places. But Libertalia was one of the most outstanding places I found in Madagascar. Three reasons : A warm welcome. We stayed here for three nights and got really good value for our money. We had a beachfront bungalow with two beds inside. Everything afternoon the staff goes in to put down the mozzinets before mozzi-hour starts. The food was great and the beers cold. Very pleased.

An oasis of tranquility surrounded by luxurious gardens, our hotel has views of the setting sun with 180° panorama.Well sheltered from the brisk South-eastily winds, Libertalia is easily recognisable by its rock, a place to observe whales , and go for a spot of snorkeling and a swim (rare in the south island)Welcoming and friendly , it has had a reputation of being excellent value for money and high quality service for over 10 years.Ideally located, near the town, it is a starting point for many excursions all around Sainte Marie and is population, adept of “mora mora”, like “gently, gently”In season the hotel organizes whale watching in collaboration with CETAMADA.
