Some parts of our long awaited group trip were outstanding, but overall we felt let down by the penny pinching and lack of generosity of the management. This is the first and only safari camp (in 30 years of travel) that only offered one game drive per day. Only the driver - no spotter. It was heartbreakingly dry in Tsavo and sadly this was the least amount of game we have ever seen in three days. Everything was chargeable, even sparkling water - but also the additional extras included in all of the other camps (sundowners, bush breakfasts etc). The staff were warm, professional and courteous. Breakfasts were a highlight with many gluten free options. The staff were helpful in offering us dishes that were not on the set lunch menu (eg changing the cucumber soup to a soup that the group members preferred). The highlight for us was a private dinner in an open, outdoor rooftop, where we could see the stars. The most memorable and fun night.…

We stayed at FH for 3 nights while visiting several parks in Kenya. This was noticeably the best we stayed at. Location is excellent and accommodation high quality. Food is very good and service throughout is faultless. We had a series of game drives where the driver and spotter worked really well together and each time we had a surprise such as bush breakfast, bush Olympics or just a sundowner out in the middle of the park. Lots of high quality facilities like pool, spa, outdoor seating and a delightful dinner in a room open to the sky. We left with lots of very enjoyable memories and would definitely recommend it, and Tsavo West.

We stayed at Finch Hattons during our honeymoon and it was truly one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had! The service and dining was unmatched – the whole staff is exceptionally warm and friendly. We had Matthew as our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to get to know him, as well as learn more about the Maasai culture. We left feeling like we had made a new friend! At the lodge, the dining was some of the best we had, and the service was outstanding. Jonathon was exceptionally friendly and always a joy to talk to, and Helen and Julius were simply the best!!! They do an amazing job of surprising guests with different dining options - we were so impressed and we still talk about how wonderful a stay it was. I was also very impressed with how comfortable the tented camp was, we loved hearing the hippos and all of the animals in the middle of the night. We hope to return someday very soon!…

There is just one word to describe this luxury camp……superb. The tents are spacious and well furnished, positioned on ponds with crocodiles and hippos. Perfect service and the food is fresh and well prepared. Thanks to everyone, we had a wonderful time.

The good Luxury tents Food to die for. Really outstanding. Good spa and pool area to unwind and spend the hot afternoons. The bad. Some tents too far away from reception The path to the tents is gravel and difficult to walk on with slippers. Also difficult for the staff to bring your luggage to rooms. Poor guys have to carry the bags on their shoulders or head and walk with you. They should make solid path on which trolleys can be used. Also no way wheel chair can used at this place. The staff don't mention the "specials" eg they can do pool side dinner upon request or dinner in the observatory etc. Power provided by generator which is switched on few hours in morning and off till 5pm. off at 11pm and We didn't see much game so don't go to tsavo if you looking for game. …

The chef Kevin is excellent. 5 star restaurant. I had two of the best massages from Violet. The staff is outstanding, and William is a delight to talk with. Our safari with Chiti and Franco was wonderful. Enjoyed our beautiful bush breakfast and sundowners while playing the Masi Olympics.
