What a lovely camp. Over look a dam filled with Hippos and Crocodiles. Beautiful and different view of the Mt Kilimanjaro. Very relaxing. One can go for guided walks and night game drives. The food is amazing and the staff couldn’t be more helpful
Wonderful experience.Terrific staff ( thank you Muriel on reception,Martin on the lake walk for your expertise on all matters). Great food, accommodation authentic, comfortable and a delight to listen to the sounds of Africa, not least the hippos at night. Loved every minute.
Excellent location around a small watering hole that has hippos and Nile crocodiles with well placed viewing spots. The lodge is in a private conservancy near Tsavo national park. Comfortable and spacious tents with hot water and quality of the accommodation was good. Afternoon guided walk in the bush was fun as was the night safari and saw oryx, zebra, antelopes and bat eared foxes but no lions as it was last drizzling and it seems the big cats don’t like getting wet as much as the domestic ones....Game is generally limited. Service in the restaurant was slow and disorganised. Buffet selection (lunch, dinner and breakfast) was limited and food average. No a la carte options. Reception is a small hut with nowhere to sit and felt very unwelcoming as we were left standing around in the sun whilst we were checked in.…
We did a walking safari. It sounded boring, but it was not. It was an amazing experience just walking rhino's and crocodiles. We kwamen er voor een wandelsafari. Dat klinkt saai, maar was onverwacht leuk, zo wandelend langs nijlpaarden en krokodillen
Super staff, walking safary was great- thank you Martin. The area of the hotel is full of animals. Crocodiles, hippos, monkeys... it seems that people like their jobs here. They are very kind to the guests they can speak english very well and explain a lot about Kenya, animals, plants and life here generally.
